Yes, I'm always interested in different cuisines. Being the foodie that I am , a friend recommended this small, Kenyan owned restaurant in a neighborhood in Lancaster! Firstly, their only open Fridays & Saturdays from 11:30am-7pm. Secondly, there's no parking. They have tables but it appears that most of their business is take out! So, there we are to try Kenyan inspired cooking to take home for dinner. There is a steam table with all their offerings in 2 size plastic containers! I ordered one portion of everything: beef stew, chicken stew, pilao rice, futu, roasted potatoes in sauce & stewed cabbage in sauce. In addition 4 meat samosas & 2 Kenyan sausages! $73.50 Maybe enough food for 4 people! OK, first impression is that the taste & spice levels are Indian in style! Not good, not bad! Just I was expecting some different flavors other than from the Indian subcontinent! It's worth a try if you want to try something different but not...

The pic has beef stew, pork stew, chicken stew, beef samosa, Kenyan sausage, rice, cabbage, and not in the picture chipati bread and fufu. The samosa and the pork stew had a bit of a kick which was yummy as well. I'd have to say it was medium heat as it did build as you ate it.
All of it was delicious. I would be happy with just the chipati and beef stew. Who am I kidding. I'm a carb lover. Chipati all the way.
Nice to find a new unique place with...

The portions were enough for 2 people. But, the flavors, the seasonings, the tender chicken pieces were beyond my expectations. This place was recommended “on a whim” by a friend. It is a “will return” place. Why doesn’t Lancaster, PA know about this “food gem”? The place is friendly. But the...
