We've been to other A&W locations but this one in Manitowoc bombed. Going on a road trip with 3 others up north, we chose this spot to fulfill a cheese curds request. They weren't terribly busy per say and being 8pm on Friday night all of us were reasonably confident in our choice. The polite young lady took our orders and a short time later appeared with beverages for all except our guy who started the orders off. He renewed his request when she gave me my frosty mug and asked "is there anything else right now?" She acknowledged him and returned to the kitchen not to be seen for a while. Noticing our last man to order got his Pepsi and root beer float before he, the jokes began. Since Pepsi and float guy had to have cheese curds then he was the reason for the slight. Our jokes continued into a full blown improv comedy night, needling the other "dying " with parched tongue. And our side bet food would be brought out before he ever saw his float was a prophecy fulfilled. We lost it after the young gal was back in the kitchen for another retrieval. And finally another root beer float appeared, albeit after a 3rd request. Sadly it still seemed like amateurs night, all the fries were cold except for the bottom of the little bags. My daughter just purchased the old Mad About Music store location and will be opening a antique/vintage store called Poison Apple Antiques. We have been coming up the past couple of weeks off and on to clean, paint, etc. Each time we have stopped at your restaurant to enjoy a relaxing meal, I especially like the chicken tender basket.

I have to make a special note to say how wonderfully polite and friendly the staff at your location is, especially as us out of towners needed more time to go thru the menu. I honestly have never been at a restaurant that had staff as nice and pleasant as at your store. Please take a few moments to acknowledge them.
