my experience with lucky bamboo has been hit and miss with the quality of the food. Tonight unfortunately was another miss and sad to say the last time I will pay that price for that quality of food. 1- the food had a smell and taste of perhaps rancid or burnt oil, either way it left a bad taste in my mouth and this wasn't the first time because when it is good it is good. 2- they offer free delivery within 2 miles and according to google maps I am 0.8 miles away and I was charged a delivery fee, 3- I dont mind giving drivers etc a tip but I don't appreciate you taking on a tip with only option I saw was to give more than what you put on 4- since when is there a service fee, granted places do this so not sure what to say about that. So to sum it up, my final experience on sunday with lucky bamboo was not so lucky, I can't afford to pay that kind of price for the quality of food that seems to always be a hit or miss if it is going to be good and the taste left was not a pleasant one and I feel they are somewhat small portions for the money. I called in and without hesitation, they offered to make it right. I luckily live only a few minutes away so it wasn't a big deal to go back but my replacement was ready right away and they threw in an order of almond cookies (delicious).
It's the best takeout place in town. You can't go wrong with any of the meals.
I would not necessarily recommend for eating-in as it definitely lacks comfortable...
Read moreLucky Bamboo didn’t exactly inspire confidence. From the moment we walked in, something felt off—the kitchen staff, rather than a host, motioned us toward the counter with little interest, and the dining room had an odd, unwelcoming vibe. It wasn’t full of happy diners enjoying a meal, but rather a scattered mix of people who seemed more like they were waiting for something than actually eating.
We didn’t end up staying to try the food, but the overall atmosphere was enough to make us think twice. Maybe it was an off night, or maybe it’s just not the kind of place that prioritizes hospitality. Either way, first impressions matter, and this one...
