THEY PUT CONTAMINATED FOOD BACK OUT FOR OTHER CUSTOMERS!
My son wanted Popeye's Chicken for his birthday so we called them ahead of time and asked them how much notice they needed for a very large order. They asked for about 20 minutes so we placed a very large order which came to about $85. When we went to pick up the order, we drove away and checked our bag and noticed that we're missing part of our order. We're missing more than half of it so we had to turn around and go back to the store to get the rest of it. By this point the food had been in our bag for more than 20 minutes and was cold because they had to remake the other part of our order that was missing. We asked if they could make the first part of the order as well so all of our food was fresh because it wasn't our fault that they forgot half of our food and for almost $90 we wanted our food to be fresh. It was their mistake. The girl snatched the bag of food out of our hand, and said she could put this food back out for sale for the other customers. Mind you this chicken that she took from us had been in our car for 20 minutes and we had touched it because we wanted to see what was missing from our order. So she took chicken that was taken out of the store that was in another person's car and we have pets so there was pet hair in our car and then she took that chicken and put it out for resale to other customers. That's disgusting and that's against health code and that's a violation. I contacted corporate and corporate sent me $5 coupon. As if I would ever return. This explains why we all felt queasy after we ate our Popeyes chicken that day. This was our first, and last, time ever eating at this...
Read moreMay 15th I stopped at the Popeyes in Manitowoc and order a chicken nugget basket and and a tender basket. both combos. I also asked for a large mac and cheese. I got my food and they never gave me my mac and cheese. I let it slide because I was starving and wanted to get home. Today (May 18th) I went back to give them a second chance because i really want the mac and cheese. Today I ordered the same exact thing. The lady taking my order said they didn’t have any mac and cheese ready, so I said I would patiently wait. I pulled up to the window and paid. She never gave me my receipt and said pretty rudely, “You’re gonna have to pull ahead because I have to go and make your mac and cheese now. I still have other orders to take.” So I pulled forward leaving enough space for the cats behind me to pull out. I waited and then finally she brought out my food. She said with an attitude, “next time I tell you to pull forward, you better pull all the way forward.” and then she basically threw the bag at me. I once again ignored the horrible hospitality and drive home. As I was unpacking my meal i noticed she messed up multiple things. she gave me hot sauce instead of ketchup. She didn’t give me my biscuit that is included with the combos. She also didn’t give me any silverware. At that point I was just glad I had my mac and cheese. When I opened it up, it was all separated and runny. It was clearly not cooked/not cooked long enough. I was very disappointed and did not appreciate the disrespect from the employee. Read moreEvery time I’ve been here in the past year there’s been an issue. They ‘close’ super early due to short staffing… most of the time there are several employees in the store that announce that they are closed through the speaker. They’re always rude and the people here do not want to do their jobs. Many months ago I came at 9pm with a mobile order and they told me when I got to the window that they made my food, threw it away, and refused to remake it because they were about to leave. They put me on a list to pick up my order the next morning. The next morning I get my food and it’s completely wrong… and I wait net to the store for 45 mins to get the right order. Months after that, I showed up with another mobile order at 7pm just for the store to be completely shut down. I asked for a refund with popeyes online support and they were just terrible and incompetent. They said they would refund me. I never got the money back. Today, I show up at 8:30 and they tell us through the speaker that they are closed. We tell them I have a mobile order. They made our food anyways. It makes no sense but I’m grateful. They are out of tons of items also. I hope these employees can find better jobs, and the company/owners needs to shut this place down… no idea how they make enough revenue to stay in business.
