I have ordered the exact same item from Gilbertos about ten times, so I know the pricing very well. Recently, every time I select my usual order and redeem points, the total shows about $9 before delivery and taxes (roughly $11 after payment). Once the payment goes through, the restaurant charges an additional $3 separately. This has happened multiple times. Today, I called the restaurant for clarification. The staff claimed the extra $3 was for an item I added in the burrito. This is completely inaccurate. The chile relleno add-on shows no extra charge on the app when ordering. If an extra fee applies, it should be transparent and visible before checkout. Adding hidden charges after the order is confirmed is dishonest and feels like outright theft. I have been charged 6 extra dollars today for no reason at all. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated. I have been a loyal customer, but this lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable. The restaurant needs to fix their pricing system immediately, issue refunds for these unauthorized charges, and improve communication with customers. Until then, I will not continue ordering here. And I need a refund of the unnecessary extra money taken from my account.

Great food. Beef is local and fresh - tastes fantastic when piping hot. Does get kind of bland when it cools. So make sure to eat your burrito asap! Burritos are crazy huge and more than enough for two meals. They'll customize your fillings if you ask. Fresas con crema is super delicious and refreshing. Champurrado is good but very sweet! Update 7/8/2025: Still love this place. Fresas con crema has become a treat I come back for regularly - awesome in the summer for a light and cold dessert rather than ice cream which can give me a brain freeze. Tried the rolled tacos which were also a great craveable meal. Still observing that the food is most flavorful when piping hot, ensure you eat it right away! Everything is made fresh whenever I order which is fantastic. Also this location can get boisterously popular after 10 pm when most other food options are closed. Gives it a lively and cozy atmosphere populated with locals in the know about the good late night bites. Staff are also always lovely, answer my questions thoroughly, polite as anything and quick on the draw.

We ordered take-out for lunch. Their first day open, looked like business was good on their opening day! I had the campechano burrito (steak, shrimp, pico de gallo & rice). Very tasty! A decent size burrito for the price ($9). My wife ordered the pork burrito, may have been the adobada burrito ($8.75). She said it was very good as well, she liked that the pork was cubed and not shredded. I also ordered an adobada taco ($2.75). A traditional mexican taco with al pastor, cilantro and onions - on a corn tortilla. Very generous portion of meat. You can select your own salsa in a cup, I tend to like my food spicy so I tried the hot salsa. It had just enough zing, which added to its wonderful flavor. Service was super friendly and helpful. Prices were very reasonable. Do yourself a flavor (see what I did there?) and give this place a visit!

I waited for months for this restaurant to open as Mexican is my favorite cuisine. I researched the menu and the other restaurants and was really excited about the prices and the authenticity the gilberto's website advertised having never eating at any gilberto's before I waited. So here's my review on gilberto's. SUPER DOOPER DISAPPOINTED. It was myself my son and my daughter-in-law I ordered chicken chimichanga just the chimichanga however it came with a side of rice and beans after checking the receipt I saw that they charged me extra for those rice and beans like it says on the menu that price but I did not ask for them. I also ordered one chicken tamale tamales are my favorite they didn't have chicken just pork that's fine I just got that it was the worst tamale I have ever had there was absolutely no flavor just texture and dry my chimichanga was huge yes very large portion it was a tortilla filled with just chicken and then deep fried the chicken was bland and was very dry. on top of it was a thin layer of sour cream and guacamole there's a better lettuce and some people very minimal and I was unable to eat it. My son got the taquitos and they were very dry and almost hollow from the meat being cooked out of them . My daughter-in-law got a burrito and it was same as the chimichanga but not fried just basic minimal heap of dry bland tasteless meat. All the way around service price and food way too expensive for a bucket of horrible food the language barrier which unfortunately allows for upsells and extra charges didn't ask for and the newness of the restaurant I would believe that we'll see improvements over time, hopefully the...

We went at 5pm on a Monday night. You need to cross the line of cars in the drive-thru. But if you make it in alive. The place is clean, the staff is actually welcoming. Portions/value seems to be the Burritos they are worth coming back for! You won me over and I'm uber picky. We had a vegetarian in our group of 5 and she liked the vegetarian burrito. Needs Improvement: Consistence - one of the burritos had all cheese in only one end. The tamales were ordered two different times by two different people. Tamales were Small, too little filling and they wrapped the husk inside both the tamales, we won't order again. Dine-in food was served pretty quick, but dining area filled with ppl waiting. Staff came out with bag after bag of food that did not match ppl waiting. They need a different numbering system and to separate drive-thru from the take out & dine-in. Also suggest they sell only their pre-packaged desserts, the rice pudding was soupy and the fried ice cream was not worth the wait. OVERALL- We want this place to make it! You have a very small location and parking/drive-thru deficit. The menu is WAY TOO BIG, 35 printed pages long. Trust us we printed it. You have really good burritos, served hot. If you sell Tacos and Burritos for now, you can probably keep your returning and referral client base. The 5 of us have told at least 5 more people and my neighbors who tried you on a different night have too. We welcome you and hope you will be able to stay. With the college and 150 units in our bldg, Gus Johnson etc. you picked the right...
