Great addition to Mankato to supplement the big stores. Impressive selection of Latin American cream and cheese. Less impressive produce. Accepts EBT.
Neat little store, definitely corner store vibes. Clean and tidy inside. Mostly sells shelf stable and bulk items. Some staple home goods and toiletries too. Tons of cool drink options both cold and not.
The fresh cases are dairy, drinks, vegetables, and bakery. So many awesome Latam dairy options you can't find in other stores, highly recommend for that. Cheeses and creams, all very fresh and seemingly packaged by independent Latam producers vs the big American brands. Bakery also looked good but not on my list today.
Produce was less than inspiring. The one thing on my list was green onion, but the ones in the case had shriveled greens, and I needed the greens specifically. They had some good looking nopales / cactus paddle leaf...
   Read moreI went there specifically for tomatillos and jalapeños. The ones in the customer cooler were shriveled and disgusting. Luckily I looked in the other cooler and found some that were usable. I needed 1.5 lbs but with no scale had to bring it up to the register. I told the employee I just needed it weighed and needed 1.5 total, it came to 1.25 and I told him I needed to get more. Instead of giving me the bag he rang it up. It took me 4 tries to get the bag back so I could get more. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Prices were outrageous on the snacks...
