La Casa Del Taco — Restaurant in Mansfield Township

I will start off by saying this place looks absolutely adorable. I love the tables and artwork! The woman who was working behind the counter seemed not to sure what things came with what dish and what was in each dish as well. I was shocked with how much everything came to. Everything pictured for below was about $50+ and that was for me and two sides for my mother. Prices are way too high. Was wasn’t bad but not very well put together. I just moved back to NJ from TX, and I had really been missing good Mexican food. A friend recommended this place, and it is fantastic! They use cilantro and actual hot peppers in their salsas. They also have marinated pork, such as pastor! I'm pretty sure the flour tortilla that I had was made in house, because it was thin and so soft. Just went for the first time and to be honest the food wasn’t great. We spent almost $50 for two people. The chips and con queso were really bad. It was nacho cheese from a can like the movie theaters. Definitely not authentic Mexican or worth the price. I do have to say the service was great and atmosphere was very nice and clean. Except the women’s bathroom. The toilet seat is broken and moves back and forth and was on the dirty side. Definitely need to make some improvements. I will not be coming back...
