I had high hopes for this place as I love Ramen and will always try a new place, but everything just seemed so off putting here. You order at the front, there is no sit down ordering service here, which is fine but it makes me question why have so much seating if this is more of a to-go place. I paid $15 for Tonkotsu ramen, portion size felt very small for the actual amount food in it (noodles, vegetables, protein), but there was a fair amount of broth. Where they completely lost me though was serving me water in a red solo cup….at a dine in restaurant, gave me a really bad first impression but still had high hopes for the food. The ramen itself was also served to me in a to go container along with the side salad. All disposable silverware, and the icing on top….no ramen spoon to use for the broth. As a ramen restaurant how do you provide no spoon for the broth?? Two employees sat a few seats away from me to eat and they had actual bowls, so I have no idea why I was given all to go stuff on a tray, I mentioned that I was dining in when I ordered. See the photo I attached, this was $15. I felt ripped off and will personally not go back. The one thing I will give them is the inside of the place does look kinda nice but that’s the only good thing I can come up...
Read moreI stopped by this restaurant for dinner around 6:30 PM, eager to try their offerings. The atmosphere was pleasant, if a bit minimalist for my taste. Despite the no-waitstaff sign, the lady at the front counter brought my food to the table with a smile, providing a nice touch of personal service. Her friendly demeanor and attentive service were a great start to my meal.
The seaweed salad was a highlight, with a great balance of flavors and a nice crunch, along with a subtle kick of spiciness. The shrimp tempura roll was also delicious, with fresh-tasting ingredients.
However, the devil spicy ramen was a disappointment, and it was the main reason I came to the restaurant. While the broth was spicy, it tasted more like water than a rich, flavorful tonkotsu broth. The chashu pork portion was small and lacking, and the dish was overpowered by bamboo shoots, black fungus, and sweet corn.
Overall, I would recommend the seaweed salad and shrimp tempura roll, but might suggest improvements to the ramen dish to take it to...
