I do not leave reviews often, but felt in this case it was necessary, and I would be doing a disservice to potential customers by not doing so. I hope this review helps. I would not even say this place has poor management. It clearly has NO active management. The place was a total mess, unclean, understocked, stale food, and employees not using gloves. Highly disappointed and honestly wish I do not get sick from their lack of hygienic and cleaning practices. Allow me to elaborate: When I walked in, it took me quite some time to get greeted. Forgivable but poor first impression, as I was the only person to have just walked in. But it got worse. All of the food appeared to be very stale as if it were sitting out all day long. I should have just left at the sight of this, but as a customer this puts you in a very uncomfortable position, (Do I just turn around and leave?) So, I started to order. They were out of tofu, and guacamole, and limes, and romaine lettuce, and change for the register. Some tofu was thrown on the grill and then left unattended to only barely grill on one side. The employee who was serving me, was wiping the sweat off of his forehead with his arm above the food. Disgusting. There were 3 employees (one of which may have been on break I couldn't even tell, because they kept getting up & sitting back down). Very difficult to understand who had what job, and they were kind of switching around constantly and all seemed extremely confused. Next, one of them ran to the back to make the guacamole that was missing. Possibly without gloves. I say this because when he went to back... again.. this time to restock the limes, after I nicely pointed out that those were also empty - he came out from the back holding chopped limes with his bare hands. He throws them down, and 2 fall onto the counter top that is also covered in salsa. He then proceeds to pick up these 2 lime wedges, again with his bare hands, covered in counter salsa, and shockingly enough tries to hand them to me. I obviously would not take them. One employee had to run to the back to get change for the register, apparently they just keep everything that is necessary in the back room. The food tasted stale, over salted (possibly to mask how flavorless it actually is), and I was worried I might break my teeth on the bacon bits which were more like the consistency of pebbles. Never going back. Truly hope this review will warn people away from this place, until they can get their act together. The experience was so unbelievable that my words don't even do it justice, but I tried.
I also feel that I should mention, I can only hope that whoever is responsible for all of this takes action to change things for the better; and that anyone who is not to blame, does not get in trouble. But this is a business, and there are practices to be followed, for everyones' health/safety, customers & employees...
Read moreI have not been to this one in a few years and boy has it gone down hill. I walked in and the place is dark inside. I have been to a lot of Moe’s along the east coast. This is by far the worse one I have ever been to. You walk in and it seems like you are bothering the staff. The look at you with a nasty look and rude. If you are that miserable at you job got find a different one. There were not options as far a rice or chicken. I asked for white rice and chicken. I was told brown rice and dark meat only. The portion size of the amount of chicken and rice in the burrito bowls and in the quesadillas was like kids sizes. They even skimped on any addition ( lettuce ext…) I had to pay for additional chicken. The salsa station barely had any salsa in the bowls. I will never return to this Moe’s.
