Let’s me start this review off by stating I’ve been a Braum’s customer for as long as I can remember. We’ve gotten ice cream there regularly for the better part of 20+ years.
I’ve noticed a sharp decline in customer service, especially recently. Quite honestly, employees there seem like they don’t want to be there. They respond to legitimate questions by smirking, scoffing, and flat out chuckling at the customer.
The restaurant looks dirty now, in general.
While the general quality of the ice cream is more or less the same, obviously, the experience is disastrous.
I’ve had 2 separate terrible experiences at this location now, and will no longer be shopping here:
My family and I went in, waiting in line along with 10 other people for over 15-20 minutes while no one even acknowledged us. The staff was goofing off and just playing around, being loud… and the person at the cash register had a group of his friends there and they were just chatting. Didn’t even pay any attention to us. We eventually ended up leaving.
Then there was tonight. The restaurant was especially dirty. The staff were especially rude tonight. We actually got our order this time, but as we were leaving, apparently the automatic door was turned off. I opened the door, because it wasn’t working. And walked out. As we were walking away, one of the awful employees chased us out of the store and yelled at us, “CLOSE MY DOOR NEXT TIME!”

Read moreThe worst customer experience at a Braums i've ever had. The associates at the Braums in MansfieldTX was rude and lacked any customer obsession. The associate controlling the drive thru started the conversation with I can't help you if you're using a card, its cash only. The drive thrus card reader is down. No other suggestions or options were suggested. I replied i dont have cash can you take my order and i come in to pay? The associate replied with no you have to come in and wait again in line to use your card. I have already sat behind three cars already and waited. I asked if i could order and they ring me up at another register as i have already waited in this line and wasnt waiting any longer. She replied no we cant do that. The lobby was full and had a line thru the store so she stated I would need to come in and wait additionally to order and pay with card. Instead of helping me take my order using another register in the lobby and starting my order as they would in the drive thru anyway she stated no we can't do that. After I insisted they start my ice cream order, I then came in to pickup my order inside and the young lady inside at the register has giving the go to hell look and threw my sundae into a bag causing it to open and spill in the bag. She then had to make a new one with no apology or acceptance that she had made...
Read moreWorst Braum's I've ever been to. Asked for my drink to be upgraded to a medium -- an outrageously simple request. When I got to the window, the cashier gave me a small drink, then when I explained I'd actually ordered a medium she just stared at me, gave excuses, and made rude remarks, rather than just... helping me find a solution, like a normal person. Food was terrible, to boot: chicken strips (which are usually AMAZING at Braum's) were all fatty/gristle bits, fries were burnt and WAY over-salted -- but at least the milkshake was good! .... JUST WISH I'D ACTUALLY RECEIVED THE LARGER AMOUNT THAT I ASKED FOR!!!! Seriously, I virtually never leave negative reviews, but this was just so awful all around. That window attendant absolutely needs to be fired; I've worked so many food service jobs and NEVER behaved that way to a customer. Back at my office, my coworkers (who also generally love Braum's) reported that they've completely stopped going to Braum's since moving to Mansfield because the service at this location is so horrid -- and, frankly, I'm now of the same mindset!! Going to file a corporate complaint after this review. Totally...
