Exceptional clam chowder !!! fish and chips were also very good (fish and fries done to a perfect crisp). CLEAN and yes that is important to me, so I will say it again CLEAN, older establishment but well cared for and well kept up. John (the owner) was working the kitchen while Beverly worked the bar, didn't inquire as to their relationship, but they certainly worked like a well oiled machine. The poppers were nicely fried with Philly style cheese inside, not my favorite but still good. The steak and cheese was huge with a large portion of fries, really good shaved steak. I am told the clam chowder was also quite good.
