Great locally owned neighborhood establishment. Having never been there before I arrived with a friend of mine for lunch and were made to feel very welcome. Exceptional clam chowder !!! fish and chips were also very good (fish and fries done to a perfect crisp). CLEAN and yes that is important to me, so I will say it again CLEAN, older establishment but well cared for and well kept up. John (the owner) was working the kitchen while Beverly worked the bar, didn't inquire as to their relationship, but they certainly worked like a well oiled machine. Beverly was kind and quick to make sure you had food or drink in front of you, and John came out as well to ask if food and everything else was to our liking. My wife and I went here for a dinner while we were waiting for our son who had went to a concert down the street. If you are looking for a fancy place to eat this isn't it, but if you are looking for a nice place to sit ,relax,and eat some delicious food with good people then I definitely recommend you give this a try. My wife and I ordered chicken parm and it was very good! We also grabbed some appetizers too,the onion rings and mozzarella sticks are a good compliment to our dinner. Nice local joint, right next to the train station. Very friendly staff, always checking in. We got jalapeno poppers as an appetizer, steak and cheese and clam chowder. The poppers were nicely fried with Philly style cheese inside, not my favorite but still good. The steak and cheese was huge with a large portion of fries, really good shaved steak. I am told the clam chowder was also quite good.

The bar and restaurant are separated, I was in the restaurant area which had nice enough booths as well as some TVs with the game on and Keno...
