I almost never write reviews but felt compelled to post this.
I've been going to Jason's Deli for as long as I can remember. I normally eat at the South Arlington location but was doing some shopping in Mansfield so decided to give this one a try. I placed an order using the mobile app before I left the house. It was for a single hot sandwich (no bread, this will be relevant later) and two cold sides. That's it.
The order was supposed to be ready at 6:25 PM but I didn't end up arriving until 6:35 PM. I walked in and was asked if I was picking up an order. I said that I was and gave them my name. I was then told it was still being worked on. I said "okay", pulled out my phone, and waited.
About five minutes later, another customer walks in and places an order (this is roughly 30 minutes after I placed mine). He ends up waiting for about 10 minutes before receiving his food. Still no word about mine. Confused, I got up and asked why he's getting an order that was placed so long after mine was. I was finally told that they weren't sure how to prepare my order since I requested no bread. While that might be understandable, no one bothered to call me about it before I arrived, or ask me about it after I arrived, despite the fact that I'd been sitting three feet away for 15 - 20 minutes. I was honestly dumbstruck and wasn't sure how to even respond to that. I simply confirmed that I didn't want the bread. This is when they actually started working on my order and it was finally handed to me about 5 minutes later.
I honestly have no idea how long they would've kept me waiting for an order that apparently needed info, when no one seemed to care at all about figuring it out or acknowledging me in any way after I arrived. They just seemed content to wait indefinitely or until I finally spoke up I guess. Also, no one seemed to think this was strange at all and kept repeating "yes sir" when I asked why no one had thought to simply call or come out and talk to me if they had questions about my order.
It's worth mentioning that they were not busy (maybe 4 - 5 tables occupied) and would frequently disappear into the back for several minutes at a time.
Edit: A manager from this Jason's Deli location reached out to me to explain what happened and describe steps already taken so that it hopefully won't happen again. I really appreciate that they're trying their best to make this right so I've upgraded my rating to...

This time the order was incorrect and the on duty manager did not want to take any responsibility for the poorly trained staff to fix the situation. 2 Separate staff members told me pickles came with my order and the manager said they only come with your order if order chips. If I was aware of this I would have spent $0.19 per pickle to have my order correct rather than my order not having pickles included. It sounds small, very small but the pickles were the only reason we choose to have dinner at Jason's rather than somewhere else. If you have ever had a pickle craving when you were pregnant you will probably understand. When I called to speak to the manager she did not care. And said you only get pickles with your sandwiches if you get chips. Since we upgraded to fruit for an additional $2.09, the pickles are not included. I get that it was just pickles but the fact is that our order was incorrect and we were given inaccurate information by 2 seperate employees. The employee who took our order and confirmed it came with pickles and the employee who answered the phone when I called, who confirmed the sandwiches should have had pickles. There is a training issue when 2 separate employees are not aware of what is included in the meal. That is a clear management problem and management does not want to take responsibility for their poor training. Thank you for offering to refund me $0.38 on my $28 meal that I never received. My call wasn't about the money, it was the fact that my order was incorrect after confirming several times that my order came with pickles and it never did. I would have been happy to pay for the pickles rather than being disappointed when I got home to learn that my order was incorrect and I was not able to enjoy my meal. The most disappointing part of the experience was the manager on duty and how little she cared that her staff was giving out inaccurate information. Very poor customer service experience. Read moreI was so disappointed, Hello my name is Sonya Dorsey, my husband and I visited the Jason's deli at 1718 N Hwy 287, Mansfield Tx Store #193 on Sunday 9/15 at around 6 pm, we ordered 2 pasta dishes and 2 potatoes, 1 was a plain potato with bacon, and the other was a Polo Mexicana with light pico and extra butter, sour cream, when we got home and I opened my potato there was some disgusting black stuff in the potato, I immediately took pictures, made a video and called the store, the person who answered the phone was laughing and questioning me about the potato, this was an immediate red flag, I asked for a manager and the person hung up, I grabbed the potato and went back to the store, upon arriving, the person at the cash register was laughing when I walked in, so they knew who I was, today was game day and my husband had on a 49ers jersey, when I went to return the potato I had on my 49ers jersey, I have a sinking feeling that they messed up the order because of the Jerseys we had on. The pasta was disgusting and we threw it away, I do not appreciate having my food played with, I have pictures of the black substance and a video and I also started gagging from eating it before I realized what this stuff was in the potato. It is hard enough to eat out when we are afraid that people will tamper with your food, but even worse when they laugh and think its funny to tamper with food, I plan take this further, I would like a call concerning this and I feel that you all should investigate that store, this may cause a lawsuit in the future, and I am not happy about my food being tampered with for any reason. I paid a lot of money and I am totally not satisfied with the service or the food.
