After not being back here for almost a year, my daughter BEGGED to eat here even though I offered to take her to ANY other hibachi place in DFW. Needless to say, we had problems AGAIN. Food was sub par... filet minion, tough... scallops, overdone and rubbery... noodles, soggy and breaking apart... just BLAH. BUT, bc my daughter loves it, I didn't make any complaints UNTIL we went to pay. I ALWAYS buy gift cards and use them at restaurants bc I get triple rewards and have NEVER had a problem at ANY place EVER before... that is until now. The waiter comes back and says the card is declining and the manager said they can't take gift cards. NO, the gift card is VALID ANYWHERE Visa credit/debit is accepted. Not here, he replied. Can I talk to the manager? She is busy, well if you want to get paid she needs to get UNbusy. I track one down and explain the problems, and she says they can't process gift cards... WHY, it's a regular sale... She doesn't know, they just can't. So I ask where the sign is that says they can't take gift cards and she says they don't have one, but they can refuse any type of payment they want. I've been recording this entire conversation, FYI, bc that is the most bullish comments I've ever heard, they just didn't want to take it. I tell her that I have NO other form of payment and if she wants her money then she needs to call her processing company and get instructions on how to take it. She runs it again, right in front of me to show me it's no good... OH IT MAGICALLY WORKS NOW! She says she doesn't know what was wrong the first 4 times they processed it, bc it was declined every time, but now it magically just works when I'm standing right there! They just didn't want to take it and were lying about not being able to process it. Needless to say, I left no tip AND WE WILL JUST BE GOING TO ANY OF THE 6 OR MORE AREA HIBACHI PLACES FROM NOW ON. I don't have time, nor the patience, to deal with lying idiots.

Our food was barely warm. Considering hibachi is a grill meaning your food is supposed to come out sizzling hot, well in my experience at the restaurants or hibachi steakhouses that are similar,Tokyo’s or Mizu steakhouse in Seattle,The food is cooked in front of you and is put on your plate fresh off the grill. Our food was far from sizzling and far from hot literally within five minutes of eating it my food was cold. So I think maybe they reheated this stuff because they definitely didn’t have it cooked on the grill recently. The staff was friendly. We were able to see it immediately because we chose the bar area that is in front of the sushi bar. We ordered the sake sake meal for two which was $50 , Which included scallops, steak, and shrimp. Additionally I ordered the salmon sushi roll. We spent about $88 when it was all said and done but honestly it was not worth it. I’m usually excited to reheat my leftovers the next day and literally I would give this place a one star. The portions are largeAnd I’m sure that they taste better when they’re fresh and hot. This location is just down the road from our new house But we may give them a second try and next time we will sit in front of the chef and the grill.

My son (10 yr) and I always go for sushi at another location in Mansfield, but today they were closed at 3. So instead we went to this Sushi bar. We have always seen it on our way home. I’m glad we visited! It was a very nice experience. It’s a small restaurant with Hibachi on one side and Sushi in the other. We chose the sushi side and our waiter seemed New. It he was so polite and attentive. My son wanted a soda and all they had were bottled Japanese Soda. It tasted like carbonated Gatorade. It was good! Opening one was interesting. Very high tech bottle! We ordered California rolls & miso soup for my son. He didn’t care for the miso soup much. However, he ate all his California Rolls and loved them! I ordered udon noodles with vegetables and it was delicious as well. One of the best udon bowls in Texas. I do wish they offered vegetable based broth for vegans and vegetarians. I didn’t realize until I ordered it was chicken broth. I will know next time! The prices were relatively high for lunch, but if you are going to dinner on a date this would be an excellent choice. If you are vegetarian/vegan you have no options for soup at all. Even the Miso and coconut soup have chicken broth.

We came here for the first time for Father's Day.. we normally go to Nagoya in central Arlington but we're a bit crunched on time and needed something a bit closer. We were so grateful that we opted to try Sake Hibachi today! First of all, the gentleman doing the hibachi grill was fantastic; he really made it a much more interactive experience than what we've experienced at other hibachi restaurants. My daughter was in awe of everything and also thought the food was delicious. She is 5 and sometimes it can be hard to find restaurants that are not only something is adults would love but also something that my little one's will devour. Speaking of food, the entire meal was like a party for my taste buds. The starters we got were wonderful.. We ordered the Crab Puff (my daughter's favorite food is Crab Rangoon and this was a yummy take on those). We also thoroughly enjoyed the soup and salad that came out prior to the hibachi meal (I think I could switch to eating salad daily if I had unlimited access to their salad dressing.. it's the best I've had at any restaurant). Finally onto the main entrees.. we had 4 in our party and so we had a large selection of different proteins with our meals. I got the 'Ninja' plate which included steak, shrimp and chicken. The chicken was moist and flavorful, the steak was cooked perfectly and was tasty and the shrimp was the star because it's probably the best shrimp I've had at a restaurant in a long time. Normally at places I avoid shrimp (& especially at the other hibachi restaurant because normally seafood like shrimp, scallops and lobster ends oup tasting a bit fishy)... Not here.. it is was cooked perfectly and it wasn't even a little bit fishy which is hard to find anywhere these days in Texas. My daughter even devoured several of them and she normally does not like shrimp. The fried rice was perfection and accented all of the proteins so well. My father got lobster and said it was absolutely delicious also.. All in all, we really loved the experience eating here today for Father's Day. I've literally ran out of positive descriptive words because it was such a good experience. We will definitely be back. The only drawback to coming today is that we were still finishing up eating and had planned to get the tempura banana dessert and unfortunately one of the ladies (not our server so idk who she was exactly) started handing us to go boxes and dropped off our check. In all honesty, we hadn't had our proteins for more than maybe 10 minutes at the most and weren't eating very slow but they had a large group of people waiting at the front and the place was packed so I figure they were rushing us out to rush them in and it was really the only negative thing we experienced.. I believe that considering how much money we dropped in one meal for 3 adults and a child that we could at least have a few more minutes to order dessert and finish our food but the restaurant is pretty tiny and it seems to get pretty busy. So, in the future we will probably come eat during a less busy time because I felt like being rushed out was rather rude. The hibachi dinners are rather pricey too just as a heads up. We spent a little over $200 with the tip included and got 3 hibachi dinners, 1 appetizer, 1 sushi roll and a kids drink. Regardless of the lady towards the end rushing us out I genuinely found it to be a great dining experience and we will be back. Sorry for rambling so much with this review and I...

I took my family to dinner here Sunday night for my son's 18th Birthday dinner celebration. We have been here several times, but this time did it for me. We came in and it was 5 of us and they sat us at a small table with a family of 3 which was crowded because it wasn't your normal table for 2 families, but I was still fine. When we sat done, I noticed the man of the family had a look of distaste on his face like as if he didn't want my family sitting with them. So, after noticing his face and expressions and energy I got up and told the host that we would wait for another table and proceeded to tell her that I didn't feel comfortable there and that we would wait for another table. After saying that 3 times I went to sit on the waiting couch. One of the managers/owners came and said we would be seated with other people, and I informed her I was aware of that but I didn't feel comfortable at that table so we would wait for the next one. She kept repeating herself as if she didn't understand what I was saying, so I said ok and told my husband we can go somewhere else. I went outside and my husband followed to talk to me. I said that man had a problem because we are black. While we were outside talking the man proceeds to yell at my 16-year-old son and fuss at him. My husband went back inside to talk with the manager and another worker tells her no they shouldn't sit there because that man is yelling at her kids. My husband tells my kids to get up let's go and as they walk away the man says yea that's what I thought. The manager had no intentions of hearing or trying to understand us. I simply didn't want to sit there because I didn't feel comfortable, and we were there to celebrate my son's birthday and shouldn't have to sit there tense and uncomfortable. I was so upset by the experience and the fact that we spent 300+ dollars there that night, so I called the restaurant and asked to speak with owner not the lady that was there that night. The hostess said they wasn't available, and I asked for a call back and left my name and number and never received a call back. I will never openly let my kids experience racism, and the unprofessionalism we experienced that night. I teach my kids not to be rude or disrespectful to anyone and that is the reason they said absolutely nothing to the man, but yet the manager was worried about the rude couple so therefore I will be taking my family and my money elsewhere and will be letting others know about...

IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE A ZERO STAR I WOULD I DONT EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START…. this place is messed up all around let’s talk about the issues that are basically illegal as in AMY THE MANGER OF THE PLACE has her kids under age working in the back illegally one them is about 9 years old and the other is a taller kid but a bit older and in the state of texas the requirement has to be a certain age (14-16)that’s illegal then LIN the supposed manager but overall just a cook although he’s not really special but acts like he is likes to drink beer illegally in the back on the job hiding it with some grumpy old guy with a hump on his back and that’s just wrong not only that he likes to be really cheap and dirty one time a whole chicken breast was dropped on the dirty kitchen floor we’re all the workers walk back and forth all day every day and he just picks it up with his bear hands and continues to deliver it on the chefs cart where it will be fed to CUSTOMERS SAME WIT THE VEGETABLES SO BEWAREEE and lin is racist he has favorites and when dinner is served only certain people he likes gets to eat ceartin foods different from everyone else and every time hes seen he’s always pacing around the restaurant doing nothing just wasting his time and others by complaining on the servers and everyone is uncomfortable by him as he likes to just hover over you and do absolutely nothing but complain and he doesn’t even know English so there’s no point in doing that and overall he shouldn’t there but this overall experience as a past worker who is no longer at this establishment I will continue to move on in life but this place certainly caused emotional damage there’s so much goin on I can’t explain it all but AMY AND LIN HAVE TO BE DEALT WITH BUT THE TEAM IS GREAT EVERYONE DOES THERE PART BUT THE MANAGEMENT IS BAD maybe tee can stay SHES the best I HOPE DANNY THE OWNER DOES SOMETHING INSTEAD OF AVOID THIS REVIEW LIKE HE DOES WITH ALL THE NEGATIVE ONES and I do mean any harm but someone had to speak...
