I just took my mother here for the first time. As a first time experience I was disappointed. The manager handled the situation satisfactorily, which is the only reason I gave even 3 stars. Had I not encountered the manager I would have gave 1 star due to the waitress to which we were assigned. Her nonchalant, I don’t care attitude behind the fact she spilled a drink on my mothers plate was quite appalling to say the least. It wasn’t the fact that it happened because accidents happen. It’s the fact she was extremely unapologetic about it and did not have even the slightest since of urgency in getting her order out to her. She still brought my food and my daughters food out, for more than 20 minutes we sat and ate without my mother to the point where I had to split my food with her because it was rude in my eyes to eat without her. We had to follow up about her order, when she should have been in communication with us about it. Nonetheless we waited so long for her plate my mother requested it be boxed up and she will take it to go. Speaking of to go, when I ordered our food I ordered a kids meal hamburger to go as well which also never came out to us. My mother had to ask her for water 2 times, and she took her time to get the to go box for my mothers food that she told her to put in a box in the first place. I watched her grab boxes so many times but never once got a box for our table that we asked for. We never got mad or rude with her we just sat and watched. And when I got tired and my patience wore thin, I requested the manager. He took $20 dollars off our bill and apologized for our experience. The girl did not care about how she services us she did not care to get anything we requested, it was like she did not want to service our table, in exchange for her lack of service, she got a lack of tip. I will not return here, but I do appreciate your manager on the floor today, and I hope you get that young lady some additional training on customer service. It’s not the accidents you make, it’s how you come...

To say we were disappointed was an understatement. We used to go here all the time. It was our safe bet for good, delicious, quick dinner. But the past couple of years, have been sad. Last night we want comfort food, so we went to Cotton Patch on 287. Arrived at 5pm with our little ones. Got seated right away. Took about 10 minutes for our waiter to come, which is fine. But then it just went downhill from there. We ordered chocolate milk (for one child), lemonade (for the other child), draft beer (for husband) and frozen margaritas (for me). Took him 15 minutes, came back with the drinks for the kids and nothing for us. Informed us that there’s no draft and no margaritas mix. Ok, husband asked for the bottle and I opted for a sweet tea. Placed our order, received bread for the table then about 10 minutes for drinks. So far took about 30ish minutes to get drinks and bread. Our food arrived (about an hour after we seated), everything look good… we are hungry. Ordered Kids Chicken Tenders, Kids Cheeseburger with meat and cheese only and sides of ketchup and mayo, Husband ordered Chicken Fried Brisket, I ordered Chicken fried Steak. We noticed pickles in our son’s burger, no big deal we took that off. Then I noticed that I got chicken vs steak. Took 10 minutes to tag down our server, no apologies just said he’ll take care of it. Just a side note, for a Friday night, there were maybe 10 table counting us and about only 1/3 of the restaurant filled. Never got refills, check in or anything
I thought he was going to expedite my dish, but it took more than 30 minutes so I ended asking for the dish to be put in to go so that we can leave.
Over 1.5 hour spend at the restaurant, didn’t really get to eat with my family since my food never got finished. My husband share his dish with me, but he shouldn’t have to.
It’s just not worth it to go for a meal anymore. Food is expensive to go out for nowadays and I’m willing to pay, but is this...
Read moreYesterday was my third visit to Cotton Patch and it was less than stellar. We were seated by the manager later learned. After being seat for about 10 min no one came over to help us. We then stopped a server and asked is anyone going to help us. She was very nice and apologetic and said she would find out who our aero was but would go ahead and take our drink order. Oh , I failed to mention that a table was seated after us that we received before us. About 5 mins after that our server came and apologized and took our order. We had asked for the manager. April, I believe was her name. She came over and said, “you asked for the manager” as if she had no idea what we wanted therefore I explained the situation and she stayed “ I know, did you see me talking to them telling them they need to watch the front’. I then replied “ no my back was not facing you” and my husband said “how was I supposed to know what you were telling them. My husband the said I don’t like your attitude, “I would have thought you would have come out and explain the situation and apology. April then said facetiously “okay, I’ll work on me… you can have dessert or appetizer on me… you can get it or you don’t have to” very sarcastic. I couldn’t believe she was a manager. Her employees were more apologetic and empathetic than she was. Our server ended up being really nice and felt bad as she didn’t realize we were waiting. We told her things happen it’s all in how you rectify the situation and her sincere apology was enough. At the end, she brought our check and the manager comped our meal. Nice gesture, but we still left feeling that it was disingenuous.
April needs additional customer service training and could learn a thing or two from her employees.
PS. Once our server knew she had our table, her service was a 5. The food itself was not as appetizing as it usually is. My green beans were cold, but were brought...
