$3.25 baja grilled shrimp taco with red cabbage & cilantro. NO STARS so when we walked into the restaurant, there was no business, no diners. Three people people behind the counter & the floors were disgusting-speckled with dirt, grime & food. The table we sat at while waiting for our food had some sticky substance on it & was dusty. & the garbages were full to the brim..so, if it’s slow & there’s no activity in your restaurant, wouldn’t you opt to take that time to clean up? •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• So this Taco. Wow. This shrimp is tiny salad shrimp, most likely frozen. I got “grilled,” I see no grill marks. The shrimp was chewy & over sauced. Traditional tacos should have two tortillas to hold the contents, these came with one. No thank you @rustytacomn & they forgot one of my cousin’s tacos YIKES •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• $3.25 “slow roasted” brisket taco with queso fresco, onion & cilantro NO STARS wow. For all the hype on “R Taco,” I am absolutely horrified. My brother & cousin brought some home & I decided to try it because of all the hype & people saying how good it is. The brisket is “slow roasted,” more like smoked or dried-it’s a damn brisket jerky. This almost $4 tiny Taco was dry, flavorless & did I mention dry? & did you guys see the stingy amount of sauce given? Each ramekin contains a drop of sauce. They gave our order of 8 tacos 2 small...
Read moreI’ve been going to Rusty Taco for years in Minneapolis so I was excited when we moved to Maple Grove that there was one near us. Unfortunately that’s where the excitement ended. The quality of food and service is very different one time to the next. We’ve gone to the Maple Grove location about 6 times now and have had 2 positive experiences and 4 negative ones. The first picture I attached is a great steak nachos we got there about a week ago. It tasted amazing and was $9.25. We told a lot of our friends we were impressed by the amount and quality we received. Today we went excited to order the same thing again and the second picture is what we got, also the price jumped in a week from $9.25 to $12. The chips were so salty they weren’t even edible. As you can see there were 2 diced tomatoes and a lot less food overall, there was 1 slice of jalapeño pepper. I’ve never had such salty chips and it was basically a bowl of chips with a little meat and about a tablespoon of queso. The meat was extremely salty as well. After 6 visits to this location and very different experiences, I don’t think we’ll be going back here any more. Fortunately there are lots of other great dining options nearby. I do hope they can figure out the quality, when we visit a chain big or small we would like the same quality of...
Read moreI'd like to start with saying that I absolutely LOVE Rusty Taco. I have been a part of their loyalty program for years and order regularly without any issues. Tonight wasn't the case. I had placed an order for picked that was supposed to be ready at 7:51 PM on October 9th, 2020. I arrived at 7:50 PM and called to check on the status from a curbside pickup spot. The employee tells me that my receipt has been lost so the order was never started. I go in to help and she prints my receipt and brings it to the front of the serving line to begin. 20 minutes later and it's still not ready and the room is chaotic, customers picking up orders and immediately bringing them back for errors. I then ask to simply cancel my order and the employee tells me to write my information on a piece of paper and they will get to it later. After they already lost my original order I wasn't exactly going to write something down for them to lose again instead of getting a receipt cancellation. Finally another 10 minutes goes by (30 minutes after the original order ready time) and the order is finally ready. Considering one of your mission statement that your founder, Rusty Fenton, came up with stating "he always wanted it to be a place where everyone would feel welcome." I feel quite the opposite after...
