In a world where love and dedication collide, my husband’s gift has brought me to my knees in awe. The care and attention he put into preserving my father’s legacy is beyond words. His journey to find my father’s chef jacket, to the specific instructions to keep his stains and the custom framing - it all came together in the most beautiful way.
-Last night. Lost in the aisles of Michael’s, I was missing my father’s presence around me as I navigated the kitchen decor section. And then, as if guided by fate, my husband appeared with a massive frame, a smile lighting up his face. My initial reaction was one of humor, expecting the usual quirky item he would find. But as he revealed the jacket, my heart stopped and tears welled in my eyes.
The young girl at the Michaels in Morristown who worked on framing the coat shared a remarkable encounter - She told me as she was busy framing my father’s coat a man walked by, curious about what she was up to. He asked whose coat it was, forgetting the name she lifted up and showed him. She proceeded to tell me the man was shocked to see the name “Chef Tony Clark” on it. He couldn’t believe it because he knew my father and worked by his side.
The pride and dedication she put into her work shone through in that moment. It was a gift not just for me, but for my father’s friend too.
As I’m sitting on my kitchen counter watching my husband hang the frame, in that instant, I knew my father was finally home.
The love and care put into this gift will stay with me forever. And in my kitchen, where his legacy lives on, I find solace and comfort. I am in awe of the journey that brought him here, and I never want to leave this sacred space. My father’s spirit is alive in every corner, thanks to my husband’s thoughtful gift.
“My knife is down, wiped clean and apron undone. I walk across the kitchen on these terrazzo floors for the last time. I head towards those swinging doors with my apron in hand. My life is fulfilled and I am happy of the mark I left on you all. I hope the footprints I leave behind will not fade. I am looking back one last time ...smiling. Thanks for a killer time. Untill we we meet again, I love you beautiful & I love you brother.” -CHEF TONY CLARK

Read moreI ordered online a few items for my daughter for Christmas. I never received an email saying the items were ready so I called to confirm they were ready and was told they were. I went to the store to pick my items they said they had placed them back. Once again no email or text that my items were being put back. I wish the sales associate would of told me when I called my items would be put back shortly I was never told. The sales associate told me I had to shop for my items again. I was very upset and asked to speak to the manager and she went and got one item out of the 3. She said the others were not available in the store. I saw the one item by the register I asked the sales associate if I could have that one because it’s most likely mine that was just put back anyways. She said to me it was put on hold and I could not buy that one. I left so upset and decided to call back and ask to speak to the manager because the manager never came out the first time I asked to speak to her. The manager proceeded to tell me that the item by the register was not on hold and I could have that one. I went back in the store to get my item. I just hope they make there customers aware before placing items back or when they call let them know the rules to prevent a problem like this...
Read moreWent in to have some custom framing done on my second grader's beautiful art project. With the wind outside, a piece of (Model Magic) clay fell off. When inquiring as to how the project could be framed, I asked if they could assist me with adhering the piece of clay before framing. The person working in the framing department, Pedro, was astounded that I would ask such a thing and proceeded to explain that repair was not a part of their service. After asking why an arts and crafts store could not be bothered to find a drop of glue to repair the project, I politely stated that I should take my business to another store. Upon leaving, I immediately called the other location, spoke directly with the custom framing department, shared my dilemma, and was received with problem-solving kindness. Thanks to the other location, my child's artwork will be repaired (at no additional expense), framed, and ready for pick up before the holidays. Thankful to have competent problem-solvers taking the time to be...
