We had the pleasure of dining at Naan on Valentines Day. We are a family of 5 with varying levels for spice, flavor, and diet. Needless to say, Naan was able to meet all of our foodie desires. Being a vegetarian, I enjoyed the amazing Okra salad, - it was unlike anything I've had before - crispy spinach chaat, and spicy corn soup. Everyone at the table reached in and delighted in the aroma and flavors that danced in our mouths from the Okra salad and spinach chaat. The heat of the spicy corn soup was cooled down by our creamy and cool Mango Lassi. It was perfect. We then dined on our favorite little appetizer, the samosa, that stuffs your belly, much the same way the wonderful triangular shaped ball is stuffed. Rich with potato and peas, herbs and spices and a crispy shell, it absolutely left us wondering if we had room for our entrees. At our initial experience as we were seated and thereafter, the wait staff was super attentive, kept our waters flowing and filled, which was important to us. The staff continuously made eye contact to ensure whatever we needed, they could provide the best experience for us. It was almost like a moment of royalty! Such a treat. Then came the next course... The rest of the table were meat eaters and delighted in the mirch murgh tikka, lamb chops, lamb vindaloo, chicken makhani and a basket of garlic and plain naan. The naan was cooked just right, not too doughy and not too crispy. The vibrant colors and freshness of the plates were incredibly tantalizing. Although I cannot speak for the meat eaters, I know they enjoyed every last bite of their meal as we left the restaurant with our eyes sparkling from an evening of supreme satisfaction and our bellies full from a lovely valentine dinner treat. We couldn't eat another thing but also couldn't resist having desserts. We ordered the flourless chocolate torte and the saffron kheer to go. We got home and dove right in and savoured every creamy spoonful. We highly recommend Naan and will be frequenting often. It is a pleasure to have this fantastic ethnic restaurant in our community! ...

My friend and I chose to eat one of the Thali chef samplings, which is kind of a mini buffet. You choose your protein and then they add a series of additional veggie samplings (curried lentils, beans & mixed vegetables with nuts, curried chickpeas, cucumber yogurt dip, rice, and your choice of naan or roti bread. I chose chicken makhi (cooked in a creamy, buttery tomato gravy made with cashew nuts) for my protein, while my friend chose a vegan version.
I rounded out my lunch with vanilla ice cream served with 2 beignets soaked in rose flavored syrup.
