I just called in a order for myself and co worker. A cod sandwich with cheese, liver/gizzard snack with 2 rolls, 6 piece wing dinner and 3 extra rolls. After my co worker returned with our food we notice the mashed potato and Cole slaw wasn't in her 6 PC wing dinner. I called Porters to let them know and the conversation went this way. After stating we didn't get the 2 sides with the wing dinner the cashier said I gave her 3 rolls like she asked. I said that was added on and we have the 3 rolls but we're missing her 2 sides. The cashier then said I gave her the 3 rolls instead of the 2 sides. I said why? She ordered the dinner and added 3 rolls. She said well we give 3 rolls instead of the 2 sides. I replied, if asked for the substitution yes but she didn't say substitute the sides for the 3 rolls she asked for the 6 PC dinner and added 3 rolls to the entire order. Noone asked you to substitute anything. The cashier yelled in my ear "SO WHAT DO U WANT ME TO DO!!!. Because she was frustrated with her inability to provide a logical excuse as to why SHE decided to substitute the rolls for the sides without being asked. I said "nothing" I don't trust coming to get the sides now because of ur attitude and u just lost 2 customers cause I'll never eat there again and I hung up. I spent $24.27 and because she took it upon herself to substitute the sides strictly because we asked for 3 rolls SHE caused the confusion, the unprofessionalism and the loss of longtime good...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy Partner wanted to get food from Porter's Fried Chicken for the Superbowl Sunday. I'd never had it before and y'all let me tell you...it was very good. I had a four piece chicken š dinner and ate almost the entire thing. I was so full, but happily full. I've had other chicken restaurants, but this tasted more like home style cooking to me. My partner got a four piece chicken š dinner as well, but also order the fried mushrooms and corn fritters. Those corn fritters tasted like hush puppies and were so good. I've always loved hush puppies, but hadn't had them this tasty in a long time. The fried mushrooms were tasty as well and no sauce was needed for either. If you're going to Porter's for a meal or to have an event catered you will not be disappointed. We will be paying them another visit soon.
There was ample parking outside of the establishment, but it was a popular pickup spot for chicken being catered as it was Superbowl Sunday. There were signs posted about social distancing with coronavirus. Masks were required upon entry. There was no sitting to eat. One could order inside or call it in for pickup. The establishment only allowed a certain number of people at a time to remain inside. The Staff has on gloves and masks as well from what I saw. The establishment is wheelchair accessible as well from the parking lot.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreHAD an extremely disappointing and unsettling experience at this establishment. I called ahead to place an order and asked for chicken tenders. The woman who answered the phoneāan Asian ladyātold me they didnāt have any. So instead, I ordered a chicken sandwich with cheese and fries.
When I arrived, I noticed four women in front of meātwo of whom, both Caucasianāordered chicken tenders and were allowed to purchase them without issue. I asked the woman why they were able to get tenders when I was told they werenāt available. She told me, āOh, the cook just informed me we had a few orders left.ā
If that was true, I was on the phone long before those customers arrived, and I should have been given the option to order tenders as well. Iām African American, and I couldn't help but notice the difference in treatment.
To make matters worse, when I checked my food at the car, I found out I was given the wrong order. I ordered two slices of pie and instead received a pint of potato salad. No apology. No correction. Just indifference.
This entire experience felt dismissive and discriminatory. I will not return to a business where Iām made to feel like I donāt matterāespecially over something as simple as food service. This is 2025, not...
