Easily the worst Taco Bell in St louis. Just read the reviews. Never had an actual good experience here, but with so few drive thru options in Maplewood I unfortunately will occasionally find myself back here. Bad experiences run the gambit from extremely long wait times, to getting the completely wrong food, being closed in the middle of the day, regular menu items "not available" wrong sauces on the signature food items, soda options "out of order" and even the workers laughing it up and ignoring patrons while they play around. Today's experience really took the cake however. As soon as I received my bag of food, I could smell Marijuana. Okay, I thought, they must be smoking pot back in the kitchen, no real surprise coming from this place, but the smell didn't fade out as I drove. In fact it seemed to get stronger. So by the time I get back to work my whole car was reeking of weed and I couldn't understand how this was even possible. So I go back inside to eat my food and my co workers say the same thing. "Man you getting high on lunch or something?" "Your going to get fired for that," etc. I don't think I need to explain that its not a good look to walk back in from lunch and have everyone around you accuse you of getting high on lunch break. Anyway, I swear to everyone that its not me and it has to be the food, so a co worker starts sniffing around and it for sure is coming from the bag. So on the break table in front everyone and my boss (who had come down from his office at this point) we empty out the food and there in the bottom of the bag with the sauce packets is the remaining inch or so of a blunt. You have got to be kidding me!!!! This place is beyond disgusting and I will never be back! I'm already shocked that a place ran so poorly is still open, but this is beyond any bad experience I've ever had at a drive thru restaurant. The only hope for this place is to shut it down, fire everyone, and start over with an entirely new crew. I'm beyond disgusted. I can't even go to lunch without worrying if I'm going to find actual drugs or paraphernalia in my food bag? I nearly lost my job today because of this! For fux sake I always tell people that St louis isn't really that bad, then this $h!t happens. What if I were to have gotten pulled over? This place is absolutely foul, and...
Read moreI frequent this Taco Bell location as it is close to work. The usual service? Slightly below average, call it a C minus. I don't mind waiting for food, sometimes there is a little bit of a wait, but that's okay. Quality of the food is decent, can be mushy, and the employees are not talkative. Regardless, I get it. Not the best location, but I come back because of the brand.
On 11 OCT 2022, I had the worst Taco Bell experience of my life.
I pulled in around 2000 and waited for about 20 minutes before the line moved enough so I can order. At this point, I was genuinely okay with the wait as there was a 6, 7 car line. I ordered and waited for a few minutes before I saw the lane started to move a little faster. I got up to the window, and the cashier was leaning on the window, with back turned, using their cell phone. No hi, no wave, no care, nothing. Did not even want to get the money for the order I just made. I thought it was a little rude, but okay, sure, not a problem, I'm thinking the usual shenanigans is in order (no pun intended.) Maybe they are slammed. Whatever. 20 minutes passed, and I honestly thought they were just busy making the food.
During all this time, I tried making eye contact with the employees, there were 3 in there from what I could see, and no one cared. I heard them laughing and discussing stuff, but no one cared about my order, or the huge line that formed behind me. From what I could see, the line circled all around the building all the way to Big Bend.
At that point, I drove off and went to the Warson Woods Taco Bell, approximately 5 miles away, which was a 5 star service!
I do hope the management of the Maplewood Taco Bell location takes my experience into consideration and improves the quality of service. It's poor at the moment and is losing a lot of money...

Okay - we thought we would give our local Taco Bell another chance and that was a dumb idea. We've had numerous issues over the last year with the local restaurant but tonight we went in and they were not taking drive-thru orders at all. Only online orders and DoorDash orders. So I reset my password for their mobile app and figured out they've still got bugs in their mobile app that don't work properly and we went through and placed our entire order and then it said it couldn't be placed because there was a problem. So now they're online orders don't work either.

We won't go here anymore! I don't think a single order out of the last 15 times we came here has been correct. I shouldn't have had as much patience with this as I did but fortunately I live very close so returning was not a big deal, but we're done. After working a 12 he day, I came here because of convenience (and that's what the kids wanted), and they forgot 2 items and completely smashed the Mexican pizza.
They usually always try to make everything right but always double-check your orders, we have had a few mistakes here like any other fast food restaurant that when I've called about that they've always made good on replacing the items, and the majority of the time they always get everything right. By the way if you're looking to get a cheese and Bean or cheesy bean burrito, make sure that you tell them that you just want beans and cheese, I think that one point they did have a menu item like this and now they have some spicy cheesy being thing with rice that my daughter ended up getting when she just wanted to cheese and bean burrito. for the most part a few mistakes aside though we've always got pretty good...
