JJ's DogHouse — Restaurant in Marathon

Went here night before incident. Bar tender who was blonde from the night before was amazing!!! We loved her! Came here with my friend and her younger brother because he wanted to be with her for her birthday and were asked to leave due to him being underage (totally understandable even though there were 0 21+ signs on the door) we had no intention of serving him underage as I am a bar tender myself and understand the legality, so we left. We dropped him off and the bar tender was extremely rude and made us leave without him with us because we brought him with us prior (like I said NO SIGNS SAYING 21+). Ruined my friends birthday as there was nothing else to do in the area. If we are 21+ we should be able to be served period. Very sad our night was ruined by her. Make signs next time...

Happened upon this awesome place while searching for karaoke on vacation in the keys. Their Thursday night karaoke is one of the best I've ever been to!! And I've been to every karaoke I can find in this country. The patrons were welcoming and so fun! The bartender can sling drinks while singing some pretty entertaining tunes and the DJ was one of the best guys I've met through my lifetime of karaoke. JJ's Doghouse was a nice locals bar with a pool table. Drinks were good, bartenders were friendly, and so were the patrons. I felt this was like my local hangout bar from where I live. It's was welcoming with a jukebox playing music, people enjoying conversations, and bartenders who knew what they were doing. I did not eat, but I believe there was pizza and calzones you could buy.
