I would give this place zero stars if I could. My girlfriend and I stayed at the Hyatt for the week (great hotel, by the way. Completely separate from this dump). We enjoyed the setting of the pool area a bit better than the Hyatt pool and since use of the pool at the lighthouse grill was included with our stay, we decided to enjoy the live music, accessible bar and pool at the lighthouse grill. Every night this week we've gone here, spent at least $50 every night, tipped the wait staff, tipped the musicians and even though the overpriced and bland lobster mac and cheese was loaded with shells and almost inedible, I didn't say a word. I kept my mouth shut because we enjoyed the environment, the live music and available booze.

Fast forward to this evening where we decided to forgo the overpriced food and bring a pizza that we had purchased elsewhere out to the pool. Although we were drinking from the lighthouse grill bar, tipping the wait staff and planning on giving them money for the rest of the night, the manager came and paid us a visit out by the pool. He told us that because we had pizza from another establishment (they don't serve pizza here by the way, the menu is very limited and most of the sub par entrees are upwards of $40), we were asked to leave the premises.

Incredible. I even explained to the manager that we were planning on patronizing their establishment all night by paying their ridiculous prices for alcohol. He did not seem to care and simply told us that "we are a separate establishment from the Hyatt and even if you are patronizing our business, you can't have outside food here". All the while the couple at the table next to us had a cooler full of snacks/chips and they were not asked to leave, nor were they even patronizing the business! The wait staff is not particularly friendly to Hyatt guests and neither is the management regardless of how much money you spend or how much you tip them. I guess they don't realize that most of their business is coming from Hyatt guests?

I wouldn't recommend this establishment, nor will I ever spend another dime here again. Not on this trip or any trip...

When we arrived at the resort we decided to get some breakfast while waiting for our room. We didn't see a host/hostess so we decided to seat ourselves, we went outside as we wanted to enjoy the view and it was very nice! After about 15 minutes we finally received service, got some coffee which their coffee is really good and put in our breakfast order. My husband ordered the pancakes and a few meat sides, I ordered the shrimp and grits and we also ordered some bloody Mary's, also super delicious! My husband was very happy with his breakfast, me not so much, the grits were really really lumpy and it came with 5 or 6 shrimp, for $21, that's just really not a good price. It was supposed to have come with fruit and I finally got that when our server came back to check on us and my husband pointed out to her that I never got it. Service was soooo slow, she only had one other table and I'm not sure where she kept disappearing too but the other table was also grumbling about her lack of service. We finished our breakfast and sat waiting 20 minutes for her to come back so we could get the check, at this point we were realizing that it was way too hot outside to sit there waiting so I went to find my check, bumped into another server, she said she couldn't get us out check but she would go find our server. She finally showed up at our table and asked if we needed anything else, yes please just the check, we really wanted to leave and felt like we were being held there. She came back with the check and I gave her my card, we are normally very good tippers typically will leave 30% IF the service is good, this service was not even remotely worth that so sadly I left 10%, that was more than generous. I feel this restaurant wants to promote itself as a finner dining but it's just not, you can do...

During our return journey from K West, we were on the lookout for something extraordinary, a place that combined a modern kitchen with a beautiful atmosphere, and this restaurant turned out to be the perfect match.

Lighthouse Grill offers an exceptional menu that caters to connoisseurs of haute cuisine. From the first bite to the last, the food impressed us with its exquisite taste and impeccable presentation. Each dish was a work of art, crafted with precision and showcasing the chef's culinary expertise. The flavors harmonized beautifully, leaving our taste buds in awe.

One of the standout moments during our dining experience at Lighthouse Grill was undoubtedly the exquisite Scallop Risotto. It was the best order of the evening, showcasing the culinary prowess of the kitchen. The perfectly seared scallops atop a bed of creamy, flavorful risotto created a harmonious combination that left us craving for more. The dish was a true testament to the chef's skill in balancing flavors and textures, and it surpassed our expectations in every way.

We opted to dine outside, and the fresh ocean air from the nearby golf course added an element of tranquility to our meal. The view of the lighthouse added to the overall ambiance, providing a picturesque backdrop that enhanced our dining experience. It was a delightful combination of culinary delights and natural beauty.

If you're searching for a dining experience that goes beyond the ordinary, Lighthouse Grill is the place to be. With its remarkable menu, impeccable flavors, and breathtaking views, it truly stands out as a culinary destination worth savoring. We highly recommend indulging in the delights of this establishment and immersing yourself in its...

Firstly, for those of us coming from out of town, the restaurant is NOT in the lighthouse. All photos point to this being the case. The restaurant is effectively a clubhouse of a marina situated next to the resort pools. Despite a printed laminated menu the first items we wanted, including a $15 martini, were not available. Also don’t be fooled by the happy hour menu, it’s only Monday-Friday despite zero notice of this on their website. Overall felt very bait and switch as with so many photos devoted to the lighthouse we were disappointed even before we sat down. Menu was what it was. Fresh catch at $38 was uninspired by the pairings pulled from the every day salmon entree. Kids max and cheese was not edible, even by a toddler mac and cheese professional, and the fires for the kids were cold on arrival, and had clearly been sitting for awhile. Over cooked and reminiscent to those McD fires you find under your car seats months later. While fine dining is difficult to locate in marathon, there are many better options that won’t drain your wallet as much as the “lighthouse”. We will not return even with our annual vacation being at the hotel next door. Let the boat owners have their poolside restaurant and support small businesses elsewhere. But we will note the names of the kids menu items were cute. Do better. It’s a great location. But for those prices don’t just cater the marina residents, and update your marketing to not fool vacationers into thinking they are eating in or at a lighthouse.

Although still undergoing renovations, the outdoor (under cover) seating was lovely. We had a pre-sunset reservation but the exposure of the venue was towards the north and the setting sun was mostly obscured by the trees on the west edge of the dining area. However, the setting sun did perfectly light up the lighthouse itself during sunset - making for a very nice photo opp. Our server, Katy, was awesome !! Very helpful and informative with a great personality - would ask to be seated with her again for sure. We shared the Chopped Salad which we found to be excellent. The Mahi special dinner and the Prime Rib (16 oz) were cooked to perfection and delicious. We would just critique both dishes as lacking in presentation. Both were more than adequate in the protein portion size and while the Prime Rib was accompanied by au jus, horse radish and mashed potatoes it would have benefited greatly from the addition of even a small addition of a green vegetable, like a few spears of asparagus or green beans. Likewise the Mahi was surrounded by more quinoa blend than one would expect. Cucumber slices adorned the quinoa, some topped with half cherry tomatoes and some with tomato pieces. Again, this dish would have greatly benefitted from the addition of even a small portion of a green vegetable. To finish, we shared a very nice sized slice of Key Lime pie, which favored being a little more sweet than tart, accompanied by some berries and whipped cream. All in all a very nice dining experience!
