I hate to be the bearer of bad news… All four plates brought to our table were cold… like our drinks were the same temperature cold. White cold fat blobs floating in the mushrooms, asparagus looked great tasted great — cold. The roasted beet salad was good, but came out with the goat cheese on top and not on the side as ordered. The drinks were fine — Sergio at the bar did great! Our experience was good, could have been great… we all ordered steaks, 2 Filets, 1 Ribeye, & 1 New York strip - all “looked” right but were cold on cold plates. Manager, Denise, was asked to come to the table wanted to give us dessert, but we declined due to our orders taking so long we were ready to leave. Pretty sure they sat waiting to be delivered to the table and got cold. The food runner should have realized and taken care of it before it ever got to the table. The food runners did not know where the food went, we actually saw them walking around with plates and waved them over to our table! I should have known from the start it was going to be a challenging dinner. We had reservations for 7PM… got there at 6:58PM - checked in - barely got recognition of my reservation and hostess said “ok”. Three more groups walked up and got seated…? It was 95+ degrees and 80+% humidity and we dressed for dinner - after almost 15 more minutes I asked about our table as we were getting a little miserable in the heat. The absent minded hostess said, “oh yeah” and waved to the other absent minded hostess to have us seated!?? I asked her what the problem was and she never answered. Restaurant has a good feel and vibe inside, but for somewhere around $80-$90 per person, I’ll go somewhere else. Hope they get the kinks worked out. Hope to try it again when the...
Read moreSuch a horrible experience. My husband and I have been wanting to try this place out for some time and after hearing such great things about the bartenders we decided to sit at the bar. We were told to look out for a gentleman named Sergio who makes excellent craft drinks, especially an expresso martini which I was craving for on this particular night. Unfortunately Sergio seemed to be entertaining a personal group at the bar because it was hard to get his attention nor did he seem interested because he was only catering to one corner. The let down was getting the other young mans attention who was working beside him, I cannot remember his name now but it started with a J. We immediately noticed something was off and then discovered he was under the influence. What a let down, he was making drinks for what seemed to be for the servers and was too busy making that his priority rather then the people that sat down including ourselves being extremely patient to at least be greeted with a drink menu. It's such a shame when a place you're excited about turns out like that. Our restaurant experience was a disaster, we opted out of dinner and just stuck with an appetizer after it took so long because he forgot to put it in. We continued to try and enjoy our drinks as we observed the bartender who seemed he was under much pressure and could not handle it, cursing, yelling at his coworkers and witnessing him drink along with the rest of us. It was so unprofessional to watch, we even witnessed how disrespectful he shouted at the little lady trying to help him clear glasses, spilling a drink on her. Not cool at all. I'd think twice before...
Read moreExcellent and attentive service shows the tremendous potential of this wonderful addition to Marco Island options. Upon entry, we were greeted by an engaged and personable staff that made us feel welcome. They were pleasant about a reservation issue and got us seated immediately (we had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances but made it out after all). Our server Francois may have been Daniel Craig researching a role or an actual server. The jury is out. We also experienced positive interactions with every other staff member. From taking a pic to constantly filling my water glass, they exceeded expectations. I highly recommend the charcuterie board as an appetizer. The crab legs dynamite has promise. Cocktails were great - the Tito's Gimlet and Buffalo Trace Old Fashioned were crisp and exemplary. The wine list is impressive. For entrees we had the Chicken Chasseur, the Ribeye, and the Schnitzel. No complaints. All great. I am not a mushroom guy, but the ones I tried could change my mind. The mashed potatoes and perfectly prepared asparagus amplified the experience. I stole the anchovies from the schnitzel and they were perfect. The chimichurri sauce is a great option for the steaks. We had to walk away from dessert in a rare burst of discipline, but they looked wonderful. Enjoy. And as an added note there was a Rolls Royce SUV in the lot. I am hoping the owner takes...
