Marco Island Sun and Fun Sport Rentals — Local services in Marco Island

We rented the “Red” Scoot Coupe from Marco Island Sun and Fun Sports Rentals. Jake was very professional and followed all COVID-19 guidelines when we arrived for our 4 hour exploration of Marco Island. I liked being able to park my SUV for free at the rental site then after an overview on the Scoot Coupe’s operation we were off on our exploration. The Scoot Coupe is a total blast to drive, even though it’s a bit sluggish starting off from a stop once it gets going reaching speeds of 35 to 40 mph was not a problem. One thing to mention is it’s size, it has a small passenger compartment, so it can be a bit of a tight squeeze depending on a couple’s size. We are an average slightly overweight couple and we fit without issue, however being that the steering and acceleration is done using a handlebar fitted with a twist grip throttle I unfortunately did drive an elbow into my wife’s shoulder on a few left turns. Overall we had a great time, so if you’re going to be exploring Marco Island I highly recommend renting the Scoot Coupe from Marco Island Sun & Fun Sports Rental or for that matter any of their scooters, or 4 and 6 person golf carts, just be sure to hold on to your “Browns” hat! We had so much fun riding around Marco Island on the Scoot Coupes. My family of 4 rented 2 coupes and spent many hours driving around and had so much fun doing it. We rented the coupes for 2 days so had plenty of time to enjoy them. We were able to squeeze in to small areas when the beach parking lot was full. They were a great way to get around the island and the adults and teens never tired of them. Jake went above and beyond making the rental process so easy and he patiently explained how to use them. We ran into a problem starting 1 and didn't realize we had a switch wrong but Jake was able to coach us over the phone, quickly identifying the problem and getting us back on our way. We will definitely rent these again next time we are at Marco Island and next time we will rent them...

Very unhelpful when first picking up a rental, doors were locked and nobody answered the phone during their posted open business hours. Once we received the “Scoot Coupe” rental, everything seemed to be broken. Brakes barely worked, bald tires, seat belts constantly got stuck, trunk wouldn’t latch… we went to swap with a different rental and got accused of operating it wrong. Finally, we needed to return the rental 30 mins early because we were headed to dinner… we got to the store and everything was closed up and phones weren’t being answered despite it still being opening hours: we were forced to leave multiple messages and it caused a huge stress on us as we were ending our vacation. Spent a lot of money on a rental that was not taken care over and very poor hospitality...
