The Burrow Food & Bar — Restaurant in Marco Island

We came for breakfast today after seeing it on a Marco facebook page. It was my parents, my two daughters and I. We sat down and at the time there was only one other person sitting at the bar. The waiter came and I tried ordering a frozen coffee he then tells me sorry it’s broken and offers an iced coffee instead in which I told him yes I’ll take that. We then proceeded to all order food; my mom a smoothie, my dad a açaí bowl, myself a pancake and a pancake for my daughters. The waiter brought my moms smoothie and then sat at the back of the restaurant and only came back to the table 10 minutes later when we had to flag him down to ask where my coffee was he then said “oh you wanted coffee, oh ok” then they brought out my daughters pancake and the server said “alright is there anything else I can get you” we said no because we assumed our food would be out any minute. After waiting about 10 more minutes my mom said she didn’t think the rest of the food would be coming out. We flagged the waiter down again to which he said “oh you wanted food too” I don’t understand how he missed the entire order essentially. 5 minutes later he brought out an açaí bowl for my dad that was basically still frozen in a plastic container. A few minutes later he brought out my “chocolate chip” pancake in which there was none inside the pancake and a few that were burnt to the top. The pancake was so dry and had no flavor I didn’t eat it and they charged $1 extra for the chocolate chips. The bill for one smoothie, an açaí bowl, a chocolate chip pancake, a kids pancake and an iced coffee was $43. I’ll NEVER come back again. The waiter was horrible and the food wasn’t good. Also, if you have a large car do NOT park in the front, I had to literally run over a parking curb just to back out because the parking spots are so...

The Burrow is exactly what Marco Island needed. There is nothing like it on the island. The atmosphere is inviting and comfortable and warm. Staff are extremely friendly and attentive to the customers We love the way they serve lunch. The customer gets three choices ; A base such as rice, salad, etc A protein such as shrimp, chicken, beef, etc A style such as veggie, Mediterranean, etc There are also sides to choose from.

This is served in a bowl and it’s absolutely delicious

On the other side of the restaurant is the coffee shop. They roast their own coffee and offer many other products such as smoothies and sweet treats.

So excited about The Burrow/ MiCRo! We stopped in for smoothies and—wow—absolutely delicious! You can tell they’re made with care and fresh ingredients. Even though we only tried the smoothies this time, the breakfast and lunch menus had us wishing we could stay longer.

The space itself is gorgeous…stylish and welcoming You can feel how much heart went into creating not just a restaurant, but a place people will want to gather.

So happy to see a spot like this on Marco! It’s exactly what the island needed, and I can’t wait to come back and...
