Nautical Bowls — Restaurant in Marco Island

If I could give this place zero stars I would…. We stopped into Nautical Bowls Marco Island around 10 AM on a Saturday, and the place was completely empty - just two employees behind the counter. Neither one greeted us with a hello or even a smile. They seemed more interested in scrolling on their phones than acknowledging customers or offering any kind of service.

I ordered three bowls, which somehow took almost 30 minutes to prepare, even though the bowls were clearly premade and frozen. All they had to do was add toppings- something that should’ve taken just a few minutes, especially with no one else in the store.

The delay was because their boss called and had them on speakerphone, asking them to check things while they were mid-order. Instead of focusing on making our food, they were juggling a phone conversation about inventory while we waited. Their boss was aware that they were making bowls for customers who were waiting the entire time…..

When we finally got our bowls, there was no apology or acknowledgment for the long wait. The açai base tasted frozen, old, and completely lacking freshness- not at all worth the high price we paid.

Horrible service, mediocre food, and absolutely not worth the money. Next time, take your business down the street to a locally owned spot where they’ll treat you like royalty, appreciate your business, and serve a top-quality product and where Customer satisfaction is the Owner’s...

Nautical Bowls has become a sort of tradition for my family when we visit the area. I haven’t seen another açaí bowl place with such diverse options for the base of the bowl. There is even the option to layer the different bases for a really unique selection.
