IF YOURE NOT A LOCAL DONT COME HERE. I AM A LOCAL AND THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE... especially to non-regulars. As a local it is a truly embarrassing establishment to bring your friends or family to and here is why:
Second time here. Yikes!
1st time, empty night. My bf and I were seated upstairs. It was just as empty upstairs as it was downstairs but at least downstairs had music. It wasn't until a second couple was sat upstairs with us (bad kids club? That's fine) and they complained that ANY music played would be better in order to deviate from having to hear eachother's conversation "So can you please play something." My bf and I both got one of the specials. Not worth the MP but whatever.
2 attempt for ME: tonight was worse. My girlfriend and I came in at about 630 and literally (not kidding you) sat there for 32 mins without even a GREET. We had dinner reservations at S&C for 845 so we really didn't want to go somewhere else (parking was perfect), as was the people watching (St.Pattys parade weekend) so... we tolerated it. The vibe here feels as though, unless you're a regular here, they do not give a rats (beep) about you. I cannot tell you how often with servers would speak to the people on either side of us... but yet we had to ASK for menu's... 32 mins later. It's such an actual shame because after my 1st bad experience, I really wanted to give it a shot.
Different time of year, different day and time. It's no better than the last. Insanely crazy that businesses have YET to get a grasp on making sure every one gets served equally. To be in an establishment for almost 3 hours and only get 2 drinks from girls who can actually drink, is NUTS. And to think we almost decided to cancel our reservation at S&C... pffttt.. thank God we didn't.
On a brighter note when tryingnto renain positive, their pizzas looked amazing! Too bad we didn't get to order it as an app before heading out to dinner.
The only reason this place will hopefully survive is because of their pizzas, and the overflow of clientele that'll settle for here when others...
Read moreI am not one to write negative reviews, but people really need to know about this HORRIBLE experience and to be warned before they have a special night ruined! Last night, we showed up for our 8:00 reservation that was to be in a private room and was told our table was NOT ready, even though I called 3 times that evening to confirm our table of 10 would be ready at 8:00 and was assured it would be and that we were scheduled to be in the Private room. It was my son’s graduation dinner which the restaurant knew and it was supposed to be special- well needless to say they displayed the absolute worst customer service I have experienced in all of my years of dining anywhere and greatly impacted my son’s special night!!!! If I could rate 0 Stars I would! We were told at 8:15pm that although we had an 8:00 reservation that we would be waiting another hour for our reservation. 9:15pm at the earliest to sit with a party of 10, when I made a reservation for 8:00pm- ridiculous!! And they acted like that was just fine- no feeling bad, nothing, just oh well. And then told us that a 7:45 reservation of 12 people were also waiting and would be seated before us. And the owner could not even be brave enough to come tell us himself, he sent his hostess, absolute coward. Nothing was offered for the extreme inconvenience and they displayed HORRIBLE customer service!!! We left and did NOT eat Lamberti’s as I would NEVER EVER give this establishment a penny of my money, and took our business elsewhere where our party of 10 was treated with respect and where they cared about us as people and celebrated our Graduate in a very special way!! We are from the area and want to let ALL know that there are MANY other area restaurants who you should patronize over this one, and to Warn you before you have a special night spoiled. Save your time and take your money elsewhere to support a restaurant that deeply values their customers! Awful just...
Read moreThe atmosphere is lovely. The food is fine and the service could be a little bit more refined. We arrived without a reservation and was able to get a table for 2 offseason, the host and hostess were very cordial and accommodating. We sat for a little while before someone came to our table. The server was pleasant, maybe she was new, there were a few things that tainted our experience slightly. My friend ordered an Old Fashioned which oddly was served without any fruit. She went to the bar and they we're able to add fruit to her drink. When the food started to come, we were served the wrong salad. I certainly hope it was not sent back out to another table I was busy chatting and not paying attention, I had some of it on my plate before realizing that we were served a mediterranean salad rather than the beet salad. I hadthe eggplant parm, which was fine. The sauce was a little sweet for me, but that is a personal preference. I had asked for linguine as my pasta and with served capellini, I did mention it to the server after the fact she wasn't readily available, and it wasn't important. enough for me to hunt her down to send it back just a little disappointed. We were not served bread. I assumed that bread was a La carte although I did not see it on the menu. Having noticed everyone around us seemed to have bread. I mentioned something to the server. It was towards the end of the meal. she apologize and did say she forgot and would be more than happy to bring some, which we declined since we were near the end of our meal. This was my second time dining there for dinner. My ratings for the first time would be about the same, I didn't post anything last time because they were fairly new and figured they needed a chance to work out the kinks. Overall, it was an average experience I would go back if someone that I was making plans with requested to go, however, I would not be the one suggesting Lambertis...
