Jamaican Me Crazy — Local services in Margate City

I have been a loyal customer of this store for many years, but after my most recent visit, I will never be returning. The customer service was absolutely awful, and the staff was incredibly rude from start to finish. When we arrived at the store, we were greeted by a woman yelling at us that strollers weren’t allowed. This could have been handled much better if we were informed earlier, especially since we were standing right in front of her in line for at least 15 minutes. While we were quickly taking the baby out of the stroller, she proceeded to let tons of people in front of us inside. It was obvious she didn’t care at all.

Once inside, the poor treatment continued. We were repeatedly yelled at and pressured by the staff to keep moving, barely giving us time to shop. At one point, I ran into a family member and stopped briefly to say hello, only to be immediately told to “take the reunion outside.” As if that wasn’t enough, I overheard one staff member snickering and laughing, saying, “That’s right, we’re nasty today.” The lack of professionalism was shocking.

To top it off, one employee announced they would help customers find sizes, only for another to loudly dismiss her by saying that "customer service is down the drain today." The whole atmosphere was hostile and unwelcoming. I understand that the store was busy due to a sale, but there was no excuse for the staff's behavior. A better approach and a clearer floor plan could have prevented such a terrible experience.

It’s unfortunate that a store I’ve supported for so long has lost a customer because of how poorly the staff behaved. I won’t be returning and would not recommend anyone...

BEWARE... This place no longer deserves your business.

We've been going to this store for a number of years and I've always accepted the quirky owners as part of the scenery. We've spent a lot of money here.

But now I've come to realize that they're making a profit by ripping off kids. My daughters are all of a sudden really into this Labubu stuff. Frankly, I don't get it because I think they're rather ugly, but whatever. The kids saw them for sale at Jamaican Me kids. We bought two at $35 each. I looked online and I saw that it was a few dollars more than you can get them for at Pop Mart but I wanted to support local..

We got back to our place and the kids open them up with excitement only to find that they are the worst knockoffs ever. Like misprinted faces and wrong number of teeth which is apparently a telltale sign in this particular collectible. No QR verification code inside.

So I went back to the shop to kind of sort of give them like a" hey, I think you're getting ripped off by your vendor kind of thing" and they got super defensive and said you were warned that these might not be real. I asked for a refund and was flatly refused. I said that they were not told of any sort of warning when they bought them earlier in the day and she pointed to this post it note on the counter - pictured here.

I now know why it's called Jamaican Me Crazy... Because you make your customers ... Err former customers ... crazy.

Shame shame for preying on kids to buy knock off collectibles and doing it...

BUT WOW ! they take it to a whole new level with finding the newest and unusual cool things for the home to beach and kids of all ages. Now if this all isn't enough... you can have a BLAST designing your clothing and hats for the whole family with fun filled transfers to patches in the art area. When they say "words can discribe it" ... this is the place, you must visit and experience the greatness and cool vibe... and you too will pass it on to your...
