I visited this establishment today (12/06/2017) and it was the worst experience ever by any Business. While waiting in the drive-thru the individual named Joey or Joseph (Caucasian male, with blonde extension braids and shaved sides, held in a pony-tail) was extremely rude and unprofessional. While asking what type of flavors the store had he proceeded to tell me, "You know what, I don't have to serve you" and closed the window in my face. Now I must say I did not verbally attack him, physically attack him or threaten his life. I simply asked him was he the person at the speaker and proceed to ask what type of flavors he had for ice cream and what came on the sundae. How rude! As I drove around to come inside, he proceed to lock all the doors and on the sign beside the door it states that the store hours are open until 10:00 pm. At this time, it was only around 9:20 pm. Therefore, there was no reason to lock the doors. All the while this transpired in front of another staff member who did nothing and a few customers. As I knocked on the door, so I could come in I pointed at the sign that showed the hours, he proceeded to record me on his phone and chant, "look at this crazy lady" In front of customers. I did not give him permission to record me. I was never hostile towards him, never threatened his life and was never verbally abusive. He then proceeded to call someone and tell them my license plate number. As I pulled out the parking lot, I informed him I would be in contact with his General Manager. I believe if I were a Caucasian male, this would have never transpired. He was extremely rude and unprofessional and set a bad precedent for his coworkers and customers, that customers can be treated as such. I drove to another Dunkin Donuts to order my drink and asked what the Dunkin Donuts protocol was with customers in regards to being able to lock doors and shut windows on potential customers and even though I understand all Dunkin donuts are different they have the same protocols. This much I know! The individual I spoke with at the Dunkin Donuts informed me that that is not how Dunkin Donuts runs their establishment and was surprised to hear something like this transpired. He informed of the best time to contact the General Manager. Thank You Dunkin Donuts on Cypress and Rock Island. But the Dunkin Donuts I'm leaving a post about (399 state road 7, Margate Fl), is appalling to say the least. But by reading the other reviews, I guess I shouldn't be surprised because everyone is saying the same thing.
12/07/2017: As an update, I emailed corporate last night and received a generic response from their customer care department. I also stopped by the Dunkin Donuts (399 SR 7 Margate) today to speak with the Manager. She was extremely apologetic for the employees behavior and informed me he had done the something similar to another customer and was Known to treat customers the way I described. Read moreRUDE, RUDE, RUDE! These are the rudest, most incompetent bunch of employees I have ever encountered. There is 1 to 2 people that work there that are actually friendly & give great customer service, a little white girl named Kelly is always helpful & very nice. There is also an older African American man named Frank that is also very friendly & helpful, but other than that- this D.Donuts seems to LACK ANY PROPER MANAGEMENT and ALL OTHER EMPLOYEES (other than 2 named above) lack any HINT of knowing what “Friendly Customer Service” IS! They all have the WORST ATTITUDES & act as tho you are bothering them by being there!!!! I live extremely close to this D.Donuts and it is very convenient, but I have decided to spend MORE GAS MONEY and inconvenience myself to drive a little further rather than spend my hard earned money at this restaurant. Unless I am able to determine that Kelly or Frank are working, which is hard to do- I just called Them & asked for “Kelly”- the person that answered the phone did not say a word to me & put the phone on hold. After waiting for about 2 minutes, they picked the phone back up and still DID NOT SAY A WORD, but proceeded to HANG UP ON ME! So, unable to determine if Kelly or Frank are working... off to KRISPY CREAM DONUTS I GO! I have NEVER encountered any incompetent, rude or unpleasant employees there. If the owner of that Dunkin Donuts Restaurant wants to increase revenue by procuring a higher profit margin....Clean Sweep & purge themselves of all the useless employees that obviously do not appreciate even having a job & put the ONLY 2 employees that I have seen worthy and CAPABLE OF MANAGEMENT MATERIAL in charge. I guarantee you, if all the unprofessional, nasty attitude employees are fired & Frank And Kelly are put in charge of that store, there would be a 100 % turn around in efficiency of operations & customer service as well. Read moreLiking the new cold brews. I love coffee, and tend to drink it late night. Usually can't get a good cup or fresh donuts at any DD late night. Service as usual, depends on the servers and usually pretty clean inside. I had a horibble experience with this sassy girl at the window who argued me down that Samsung pay wouldn't work at the drive thru window. Even though they have the "we accept Samsung Pay" on the window. On top of that her coffee was horrible. She ended up scanning me inside because she didn't know how it worked.. Samsung Pay unlike other mobile pays works almost everywhere because its used like a credit card. You tap instead of swipe. P.S. Today I had a differnet girl try and voila. Samsung Pay works even though their scanner is broken. Just hold it over the card swipe area ppl!! #SamsungPay is just better.. oh yeah this is about DD.. hehe... as you can see I love #SAMSUNG... so this DD is average.. not the best and more expensive than other DD's for some reason. If I knew there was one omw to where I was heading I would probably wait for it... mostly because I hate to pay more and can't guarantee it will be good. 3 out of 5 times I want to return my purchase but just deal with it.
