La Bamba III 5:50 p.m..5/06 old lady didn't like us to get a booth. We waited 20 minutes. People saw Chanel, teacup Yorkie, talking how well behaved and a beautiful Yorkie. Then they escorted us to our table. We were stopped before we could be seated. We were told we couldn't have the Yorkie. The old lady tried to stop us and explain. She was waiting for us at the exit. So she made us wait then let someone else tell us. She didn't have the guts to tell us to our face. We have brought her many times wirth the owner not responding to having her with us. She is part of our family. You don't accept her, you don't acceptany of us. So we went to Embarcadero 41 on University Drive in Coral Springs. They were shocked that La Bamba would treat us like that. Everyone including the customers encouraged us to write a review. Very poor service with no consideration of our time or our family. Waste of time to go to LaBamba.
RESPONSE TO THE RESPONSE:
The major problem was waiting for 20 minutes then being led to the booth but not letting us sit. Talking about not letting us stay because of our member of our family. Why were we having to wait then go to the booth??? Why weren't we told by the host we couldn't have Chanel with us? The Host knew but waited then let the waitresses guide us away to tell us. The Host didn't tell us but wanted to argue with us on the way out. That could of been ugly if we would have stayed. 20 minutes of waiting -- wasted time for us to not order or eat. Our time isn't worth anything to you otherwise you would have respected our time so we could enjoy a meal. NO meal so we found another place to eat. Meanwhile customers were asking what happened. Some turned around and walked out too. The response needed to reply to the wait time and not telling us at the entrance of the restaurant. My colleagues in West Palm talked about the La Bamba III up in West Palm but once they heard what happened in III -- no way are they going to go. You have patrons that are hungry and wanting to eat but instead wait 20 minutes walk us over to the booth and say "sorry you see it but you can't have it". That is no way to...
Read moreAs a VERY loyal patron of over 10 years - especially at #II on Sample - one of Gloria's groupies!!! - management MUST remain aware of fails. I arrived to pick up a take out order. Was greeted by the person at the outdoor station as usual. I was asked to wait a moment. FINE. A few were there a bit confused that they needed to check in there for a seat inside. The person at the station explained they could go on in to be seated. I stood there waiting. Nothing else was said to me. Another couple arrived, was asked if they were there for take out. No. They were instructed to go in. All the while, a young woman and child had arrived. Clearly they were known, as the hostess from the inside station had come out to have a conversation with them. I am still standing there waiting for someone to even ask me my name or to acknowledge I was there. After another couple of minutes, I asked what might be going on since I was just standing there. I was told that the young woman and child were there before me. HUH? So I am supposed to simply stand there ignored while the woman and child have a casual conversation with AN EMPLOYEE. I expressed my dissatisfaction and explained why -- with which said woman, who proudly informed me that she was connected to management/owners, went on to berate me, and on and on ... "you must be having a bad day" "it certainly isn't my son misbehaving tonight," "the only one behaving like a child is you" Last night - this was a fail on three parts -- the person at the take out station, the woman who was the hostess for the evening who left her station and came outside to have a several minute casual conversation while customers waited needlessly, and the fact that someone proud of being connected to management somehow thinks it is OK to speak to customers in this way - after I simply stood there ignored two feet away. I don't mind waiting for anything there - we have 100s of times - but DO NOT SPEAK TO ME LIKE THAT ESECIALLY IF YOU ARE PART OF MANAGEMENT. It will be a while before we go back to...
Read moreFirst of all, I want to say, that my family and I have been going to La Bamba Mexican Restaurant for over 10+ years. We have spent many birthdays and special occasions at this Sample & 441 location.
Unfortunately, for us, it will be THE LAST TIME.
Last night (4/24/21), I placed an online order at 7:35pm for (2) Steak Empanizado dinners. I completed my order, and was given an 8:36pm pickup time, ONE hour later. I didn't like the idea of having to wait that long, but I was having an Empanizado craving, so I decided to just patiently wait for my food.
I picked up my food and headed home. As I sat down to eat my Empanizado, I quickly realized there was a HUGE piece of wire scrub pad lodged into my breaded steak. It was very noticeable, and I was horrified. I could not believe whoever fried this steak this didn't notice. Whoever packed my food didn't notice, and only I noticed, as soon as I opened the foam container.
I cannot believe NO ONE noticed this huge piece of wire was literally cooked inside of my breaded steak. I could have choked on this, it could have pierced my throat. I literally could have died from eating this large piece of metal wire.
How on earth does that happen? A large piece of wire? Was my streak dropped on the floor, then picked up & fried like that? Was my steak somehow in the dishwashing bay before being given to me, as my dinner? I guess I will never know.
I was so horrified and disgusted by finding this piece of scrub pad wire in my steak. This doesn't just happen by accident.
Never again, La Bamba Mexican Restaurant. Never again.
That is not okay. This will...
