Busy Bee is a local establishment that demands a certain revere. From our options, we had about 2 or 3 choices to choose from and to say our options were limited is an understatement. Nevertheless, with the many positive reviews we ventured out to Busy Bee for a delicious brunch service. Upon arriving, you pull into a gravel lot in the midst of what seems like the border of a residential part of Marietta and due to the outdoor seating being nothing to call home about we sat indoors.
As we opted to sit on the inside upon which we were greeted by the incredibly pleasant staff. Social distancing guidelines and proper procedures were being followed by all servers and cooks which was greatly appreciated. I ordered the spicy eggs benedict, which unfortunately was just okay. The corn bread had hardened and the hollandaise had taken on a curd-like consistency. I had a side order of 2 half meats as they called it which is an absurd way to add on 2 slices of bacon and sausage for over $4. Way overpriced! My partner ordered the French toast which she had ordered in the past but this time was fairly undercooked and both our meals ran a bit cold. Her poached egg was in a bowl of what seemed like the left over poaching liquid which is a novice move for delivering an egg cooked this way. I would give the food a 3, the best part of our meals was the bottomless coffee and the fresh squeezed orange juice. Bumped up the rating 1 star for the exceptional service, decor, and beverages. I did enjoy trying their hot sauces!
TLDR; average food....
Read moreShort Review: Great food. Fast Service. Good prices. Hometown cozy feel. Go now! Detail: I stopped at mid-morning for a western omelette with coffee. A few folks seated in the place, one at the counter and 4 or 5 others at booths and tables. Server smiled and said to seat myself. Menu and drink order taken in 60 seconds after sitting. Coffee and cream on table in 60 seconds after that. Order placed and in no time the Hash browns, thick wheat toast and Western omelette arrived. She asked if I needed: hot sauce, ketchup, or jelly. I replied. And on her way back she filled up my coffee and dropped the 2 items I requested. Big chunks of ham, real cheese, onion, green peppers, mushrooms and red pepper in a folded egg masterpiece snuggled up next to the crispy shredded hash browns and double triangles of buttered thick cut wheat toast. My server asked once more if I needed anything..and I mumbled a negative response through my brunch. I finished, went to the register to pay and thanked her for great service. Won't take much more time to sit down and eat here..so skip the drive thru and visit the...
Read moreWe went for a late breakfast on a Sunday so it was busy, we did get in and seated very quickly, we also got our drinks and order taken quickly but it was a bit of a wait. I’m not complaining though because it was worth it and we weren’t in a hurry (plus we knew going in they were pretty packed). It is a very nice place, love all the local Decor and the locally sourced foods to supply their menu. I also love that not only do they support and shop local they also advertise the other local businesses. The restaurant was very clean and friendly. We interacted with several staff and all the ladies were so polite and nice. Our food was amazing! We absolutely loved everything we ordered. We could hardly finish the food we ordered because we got full! The only thing I’m disappointed about is I couldn’t eat more, so many menu items looked and sounded delicious it made it a hard decision. We will definitely be coming back frequently to try other items and enjoy...
