I've heard good things from some people who live in neighboring towns & I was expecting at least decent food. What I got was just gross. I didn't stick around to eat inside, but the decor looked alright. The place didn't look dirty at all. The service was prompt (it's a buffet style, so one would expect it to be pretty fast). But Decor & Service weren't really a priority here. Above all else, the quality of the food was bad. I was thinking of getting toppings, but I thought it'd be a greater test to just get a cheese pizza & see how their basic ingredients hold up. Toppings can often hide the quality of the rest of the food... sometimes. I doubt toppings would've changed anything. The cheese is bland & almost flavorless. Failure number 1 for pizza in my opinion is using cheap horrible cheese. The sauce was okay. Not great. Nothing to be super proud of, but it wasn't as bad as the cheese. The dough was fine. Also, not great. The dough added no flavor at all. Which, I know some of you might think "well so what, it's bread." But when I make dough for pizza I put some garlic salt in it, oregano, & a little bit of sugar (not a lot). This makes the dough something to be enjoyed. Not just an edible plate for your cheese & tomatoes. If I were you, I'd avoid this place if you can. As for The Original Pizza Place: go spend some money & buy quality ingredients. Just because you don't have people complaining in your face doesn't mean there's nothing wrong with your food. Most people are polite & don't feel like saying anything. Here's your chance to use some constructive criticism & fix your problems. Perhaps your toppings are of better quality & you're thinking "well, he doesn't know because he only got a cheese pizza." If you can't do a cheese pizza right, then you're...
Read moreThe food was wonderful BUT.... We noticed the guy that was making and cutting the Pizza - didn't have a mask around his face (it was around his neck) - I should have told them I wanted my money back, walked out and went somewhere else to eat. The more I think about this, the more it upsets me (that's why I didn't post right away - I didn't want to go on a rampage). I just wish my Mom and I NEVER ate there. I will NOT be back or go anywhere else where people do not wear masks while working around food. It's just not worth it, unfortunately.
Responding to your response:
While I appreciate the people getting tested a lot (I'm sure its not everyday and I don't know where a stranger has been). Getting temperatures taken is a good idea, although (temperatures do not help IF a person is Asymptomatic.) You say he isn't near anyone (except for the other guy in this pic...) I still feel that anyone making food or serving food needs to wear a mask, end of story, no one needs to be needlessly breathing on anyone else's food, plain & simple. (And now that I know what I do now, I won't be back until the "pandemic" is over.) I am not taking any chances. If it means not eating in any restaurants from here on...
Read moreOk. We have lived here for a couple years now and today was actually my first time trying this place. I was a little put off by the high cost for the pizza I wanted ($42) but I got a 20% off coupon so I decided to take a chance at $28. Big mistake. The place is very nicely put together. Very presentable location. The staff appeared annoyed the entire time. My pizza was 12 minutes late, which is not a big deal. But at least tell me things are behind. The place wasn't that busy. But the score has to do with the pizza itself. It was below average and at a premium price. The cheese is what saved the pizza. I don’t know if they ran out of sauce and went and bought Prego sauce, but it tasted cheap. The crust had absolutely no flavor. The pepperoni was good, but I ordered extra, and it didn't seem to have extra. In my opinion, I enjoy the $12.99 thick crust at Little Ceasars more than this. I am just...
