Amazing experience. I stumbled upon this restaurant while in the area shopping. I've never had Kenyan food before, but I love Nigerian, Ghanaian, and food from the Ivory Coast; so I decided to try. I had the fried whole tilapia, Pilau, cabbage, plantains, and also a veggie samosa. Everything was delicious and seasoned really well. I grew up in the Caribbean, and it's been a while since I've had fish seasoned that well beyond doing it myself. I also felt very welcomed speaking to the owners. They made it a very pleasant experience. I don't live in this area, but I will definitely take the drive back. 10/10 Good luck to you both, and I pray for blessings and abundance over your business and your wife's hands to continue making this delicious food.

WOW. I am so impressed with this gem right outside Atlanta! I came here because the reviews were so good and i wanted to see what the hype was about and they did not disappoint! Auntie in the front was so welcoming and sweet. Her energy was like a hug. She was very accommodating and explained the dishes and gave her recommendations since this was my first time having Kenyan food. The wait was tad bit long but so worth it. This food was made with LOVE yall! This is my new spot. Hands down some of the best food i have had in so long. You can tell they actually care about their food and prepare it with care. If you are wondering whether you should try this place, just check it out. You will not be disappointed.

If you’re looking for authentic Kenyan cuisine, you’ve come to the right place. I’ve probably tried everything on the menu except the tilapia dish, and I was blown away by how true to home the flavors were. As a native of Kenya, I’m so happy to have found a place that truly reminds me of home, from the warm customer service to the perfectly curated music. My experience was absolutely wonderful and I definitely plan on coming back again. Don’t hesitate. Go treat yourself to some samosas, beef stew (not on the menu but they’ll make it for you), chapati, and anything else you can get your hands on. You won’t be disappointed.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Jambo Grill Atlanta and what an unforgettable experience it was! From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a warm, clean and inviting ambiance that beautifully reflected the rich cultural heritage of Kenya.

The service was just as exceptional as the atmosphere. The staff welcomed me with bright smiles and genuine warmth, making me feel like a valued guest. At one point, I found myself torn between two dishes, and our server enthusiastically shared their personal favorite—a recommendation that turned out to be absolutely spot-on. Their passion for the cuisine was evident, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience.

Now, onto the true highlight—the food! Every dish was bursting with bold, authentic flavors. The nyama choma was expertly grilled, with a lovely smoky aroma. The ugali had the perfect texture—firm yet smooth; Paired with the sukuma wiki, it was a flawless combination of richness and freshness.

The Kenyan sausages were out of this world—perfectly seasoned, juicy, and packed with flavor. Every bite was a reminder of the rich, savory taste I grew up loving. And the samosas—both beef and veggie—were an absolute delight. Each was crafted uniquely, yet both were bursting with flavor in every bite. The crispy, golden pastry gave way to perfectly spiced fillings that left me completely blown away.

Every meal we ordered was delicious—there wasn’t a single dish that disappointed. What truly set this experience apart was the family-style dining option. Sharing a variety of dishes, passing plates around, and enjoying each bite together gave the evening a heartfelt, home-like feel. It reminded me of gathering with loved ones at the dinner table—laughing, storytelling, and savoring a meal made with love. The flavors brought back cherished memories of special family gatherings in Kenya, where food was more than just a meal—it was a celebration of togetherness, tradition, and joy.

Overall, my experience at Jambo Grill Atlanta was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of exquisite food, heartfelt hospitality, and a warm, inviting atmosphere makes this restaurant an absolute gem. Whether you're craving genuine Kenyan flavors or simply looking for a memorable dining experience in Atlanta, this is the...

Wow..my wife has DEFINITELY been gatekeeping this place from me. She told me over and over about Jambo but she never brought any food back home. Marital problems aside, this place is delicious. I knew I was in the right place when I walked in and smelled all the seasonings. That put my trepidation at ease. When I ordered the samosas, I noticed that they didn't have a dipping sauce or chutney to go with them. Instead I was offered a lemon slice. The husband explained that this was more traditional. When I tasted them, I immediately understood the assignment. They were the best samosas I've ever eaten!!!! They honestly didn't need a sauce with all that flavor. They come in beef or chicken. My wife and I got two orders to go but I digress. My wife and I both had the whole tilapia with sides ranging from greens, cabbage, to plantains. We are everything down to the fish head. Absolutely delicious! You can tell that husband and wife duo really has a passion for what they do. I spoke to both of them at great length afterwards to get a little bit more of their story and they are both so gracious and humble. I really enjoyed the whole experience from start to finish. There's a certain intimacy about the place. It's like I visited someone's house to get something homemade. We even got extra chapati for the trip home. Honestly as I write this review... I'm planning my...

If you’re craving authentic Kenyan cuisine served with warmth and hospitality, Jambo Grill Atl. is the place to be. From the moment you step in, the friendly staff make you feel at home, creating an inviting and welcoming atmosphere. The menu is a feast of traditional Kenyan flavors, prepared with fresh ingredients and bold spices. Start your meal with mandazi, soft and sweet, perfect for pairing with chai. The kachumbari is bright and refreshing, adding a zesty contrast to richer dishes. The pilau is aromatic and well-spiced, while the samosas are crisp, flavorful, and delicious. For a hearty main, the fried fish is cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The ugali, a Kenyan staple, pairs beautifully with the rich and smoky nyama choma, grilled to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning.

Beyond the food, the restaurant’s warm and inviting ambiance makes it a perfect spot to enjoy a taste of Kenya, whether you’re a first-timer or a longtime fan of the cuisine. Jambo Grill Atl. truly delivers an authentic and flavorful dining experience that keeps customers coming back for more real Authentic...
