I really dislike writing bad reviews. In fact, you can see all of my POSITIVE reviews I’ve left for businesses in the past.
A few weeks ago my husband took my iPhone 15 Pro in to have the screen replaced. The owner replaced it, and the phone seemed to be working fine for about 3 weeks. The shop was dirty and looked like a graveyard for cellphones. Spoiled alert: the shop DOES NOT look like the pics online.
Then, less than 3 weeks later my phone had burn-in, would overheat to the point that the phone would pop-up a message saying “due to the overheating, the phone would be shutting off”. It also wouldn’t hold a charge for more than 10 minutes and would just go black.
I took the phone to another phone repair shop, Owl Repair in East Cobb, to inquire about what was going on. The gentleman stated that Gadget Fix had installed an LCD screen to my phone which should NEVER be used on that phone. The screen wasn’t flush with the phone, it was thick, and the cheapest screen you can get, hence the reason it was having all of these issues.
I called to tell the Gadget Fix owner my findings and he stated that it wasn’t an LCD screen, and if I returned the screen he would refund my money. I then asked for my screen back so I could trade the phone in. He said they get rid of screens after 3 days. I asked him, “how am I supposed to trade in my phone with no screen?”
He was rude and unprofessional and does shotty work. I highly recommended taking your phone to Owl Repair as their guys really know their stuff and stand by their work! Stay away...
Read moreI had nothing but a wonderful experience and customer service getting my iPhone 15 Pro fixed due to charging issues after dropping it in the water. I was not at the store initially when I went in the morning because he was dealing with air conditioning issues at home, but I called him at the phone number listed and he immediately came back to the store to assist me.
Hamid is a true problem solver and was honest with me from the start about what he thought would be the best cost saving solution. Luckily, the simplest things was all that it took, and he charged me nothing for the encounter. Even though I insisted on compensating him for his time and expertise, he was adamant about not taking payment. The whole encounter only took 10 minutes out of my day.
when I took my phone to the Apple Store, they only suggested that I send the phone in and a full service needs to be conducted, which would also require me to not have access to my phone for several days, it was also likely to cost hundreds of dollars.
Highly recommend gadget fix due to a quick service, clear communication, and honesty with...
Read more(0 stars)1st the picture of the store's interior is seriously misleading. It is half the size and not as clean or organized.
I would really like to say that the experience was quick with excellent service. However, it was neither of the two.
The 1st issue was the turnaround time which was ridiculously long, not due to issues repairing but rather negligence on the business's part. Josh was really nice, chill. However, it is unprofessional and reflects poorly on the establishment when deadlines are set and ignored. If a phone is ready at 1pm the next day, the customer should have their phone at that time.
2nd issue is the owner being unprofessional and severely rude. Sadly, the man is like a rabid dog. This is not an exaggeration. His frustration with his employees and their work ethic are taken out on patrons rather than discussed with them. He cursed at them, about them, and then at us when discussing the issues with the service.
AVOID THIS "BUSINESS", using the term loosely as the service and lack of business license posting anywhere in store...
