I used to go to this location at least twice a week, I always sit at the bar and it became the place to say hi to locals and have a great time. Over the past several months staff has gone to my regret and the ones that are replacing them behind the bar are kids and have no clue what customer service is at all ! The menu continues to change.......Taco Supreme.....something so simple that you can drive to Casa Grande and get for $12.00, La Parrilla wont even offer. Fajitas, one of my favorite, they used to offer this for two people, now they will not......an order for one if not enough for two people and if you order two single orders its too expensive and way too much food ! The salsa that comes with the chips is like water ! Other Mexican restaurants offer a much thicker version with chucks of tomatoe and other items in the sauce....again , they cut corners and it taste like water ! The attitude has changed and everything seems out of sorts ! The lady that is the General Manager is nice but honestly I think she cares less about what a customer thinks ! There is another manager named Alfredo.....I hope I have that correct, who is a nice guy, willing to help , but I get the feeling his hands are tied ! As much as I hate it, I am close to the point of just going elsewhere, which I hate. This location is close to where I live and I used to like it a LOT! New bartenders and a better choice on the menu would help. I remember when ALec was bartending, and there was always a good time had by all.........] I hope...
Read moreI chose La Parrilla as my catering for my wedding based off the recommendation from Glover Park Brewery, which I absolutely loved as my venue. However, I was disappointed with La Parrilla’s catering service.
Toward the end of the evening of my wedding, a staff member unexpectedly approached me to sign a receipt, something I was never informed would happen on the day of the wedding. They assured me the tip I added would go directly to the servers, but when I began filling it out, they insisted the tip “had to be 15% to 20%.” This was inappropriate, especially since my contract explicitly states that gratuity is discretionary based off what I thought best of their service. The staff member was so persistent that they rejected my initial tip amount and handed me a new receipt to write the percentage they demanded. Feeling pressured, I gave 15%, but this left me feeling so uncomfortable on my wedding day. To make matters worse, the tip was calculated on the total invoice, including operational fees I had already paid, rather than just the food cost.
I shared this feedback with the catering team but received no response, further highlighting a lack of concern for customer service.
Edit: They reached out to express their concern about the situation and assured me that it is not their standard practice. They mentioned discussing the matter with their team, which was reassuring. Without me even asking, they kindly reimbursed the 15% tip, which I truly appreciated. Overall, I’m impressed with how they...
Read moreWell, i’m not a complainer or anyone that writes reviews but this was needed. We walked in at 7:00 pm leaving from White Waters. We had a party of 13 which i understand could be frustrating sometimes. We had one server take our drinks (Ashley) & we had another take our food order which was Santiago. Meanwhile, with the server Santiago we wasn’t able to place our food order until supposedly “after” our appetizers and drinks got delivered which was very confusing. Don’t know why it was like that. Being a server myself, it should have been a split of half and half. With that being said, we waited an hour for our food and once we finally got it not only was our food cold and underdone. when i sent it back it, it came back overcooked. i was hungry so i just dealt with it. Cashing out, it took another 45 minutes just to cash out because nobody remembered what we ordered and wanted us to split it up like we knew what everybody around us ordered. Plus it was gratuity added when it was very much poor service. The lady Ashely was sweet so i wouldn’t say it was here because what we ordered from her was correct but the server Santiago shouldn’t be allowed to serve parties until he’s trained properly for it. Ashley I don’t have any complaints about. Moral is, we didn’t leave until 10:30. i wouldn’t recommend this location at all and im a huge fan of La Padilla itself. I will never...
