EDIT: A star removed because I managed to get something that not only did I not like, but straight up cannot eat. Ordered a bacon egg and cheese bagel, got a steak egg and cheese. Can't eat beef but I refused to waste the whole thing because I hate wasting food. Took the steak out and ate the rest, feel a little ill. Thanks for the experience I live right next to this location, so it's my default McDonald's unless I'm up to driving a ways (which is never, come on, it's McDonald's. If I don't live by one, I don't go). Of all the times I've gone, I have never had an order that was both taken correctly AND made correctly here but once (a bacon egg and cheese bagel meal).
Not once have they fully completed ask-ask-tell (repeat the order in drive thru, repeat the order again at the window, tell one item of the order as they hand out food) for me (no shade to the entry employees, this is usually a management problem) which is likely why they so rarely get the order correct. The food is more often than not undercooked. Twice I have ordered quarter pounders here on two seperate days and twice they came out at least half raw (guess only half the patty was on the grill?)
As a fast food worker, I hate writing negative reviews because I know employees get the blunt of it. But from what I've gathered, most of the problems seem to be management. Today at around 9:00 I came in and they had a lady that was either very new or hard-of-hearing working back window AND lane. As a hard-of-hearing person myself, NEVER DO THAT. We can't hear through those quiet headphones, and when one ear's covered, we can't hear the person at our window. I was put up front 98% of the time so I could read the customer's lips. The other 2% where I was drive thru was complete madness because I cannot stress enough how low quality McDonald headsets are (or at least were). Don't put someone who can't hear there. In the case she's new, put her in the front still because there's a lot more people to ask for help. She completely botched my order, but again, that's not her fault. They should not have put her in back window.
The good news is they're really fast! Seriously, I can get McCafe drinks and two meals and it's ready by the time I'm at the second window. That's probably because it's undercooked though, which I'm assuming is due to management's pressure on the cooks to dish out food as quickly as possible. Had the same problem at the place I worked at, kind of a "it's better to hand out bad food than make them wait because they usually don't notice their food is bad until they get home and they're not gonna drive...
Read moreThis place is a joke. If I could give them zero stars, I would. I have given this location many chances and they act like itâs an inconvenience to correct a wrong order. I completely understand that things get crazy, but there should be a few âinvoluntaryâ motions at a restaurant that you have to try to mess up. Filling drinks to the top, fluf, donât stuff the fries, napkins in the bag (2-3), straws with the drink that equal the count of drinks (3 bevs = 3 straws). These skills are the keys to success when working the McDonaldâs drive-through window.
Every time I go, one of the above is subpar or doesnât exist. Tonightâs tribute was to the half filled large fry. We split fries to save some money between my kids and normally a large will feed all of them and I can eat a few stragglers without feeling too guilty. Tonight was very different...when I arrived to my humble abode, I was surprised that someone had eaten half of the fries on the ride home...wait, âtwas not me...bag was still closed. I take the fries out and was a little taken aback at what was before me and my children.
The employee got the correct size receptacle for the fried potato goodness but the volume of the skinny fries was highly lacking...by at least half. Picture below.
McDonalds, filling fries to an acceptable level is a critical component of having happy customers that enjoy coming back and getting a good value for the price.
Another funny thing that happened tonight that I feel needs to be mentioned. I asked for katchup, got a blank stare, then he asked if there was katchup in the bag...I kept the staring contest going (I have not lost one of those since 4th grade...not gonna break my record here). Without missing a beat, I replied âIâm not sure, did you put katchup in this bag? He seemed confused and gave me a huge micro-aggressive wad of katchup packets. I was confused because he literally just put that, straw and napkins in. Oh well, I have about 281 packets now so thatâs a plus. They did get the straw (1) and napkin (3)count correct so the silver lining is present.
Get your stuff together and give people what they are paying for. Stop being hyper lazy and making me feel like I am inconveniencing you and your iPhone time for me to stop by and hand you money in...
Read moreI agree with the posted reviews. Very poor customer service skills and/or attitude or both. I am new to the area and have been giving this Mc Donalds a try. I placed an order for a side salad was charged $4.00 with an additional side of tomatoes. At all the McDonalds I have been to, I have received 10 slices of tomatoes for an additional $2.00. At checkout I received two side salads with one slice of tomatoe on each. I also requested two salad dressings and received one. I waited for at least 10+ minutes. (Probably more like 15 min.) The upshot was I ended up cancelling the order because it was totally incorrect and the location made no effort to correct the order consistent with the standard practices of McDonalds. Other problems have included coffee served black, without cream and sugar added and a buttermilk chicken sandwich served without maynoaisse and no tomatoe.(They said they were out of tomatoes and were waiting on the MC delivery truck which would be making its rounds in 3-4 days. What's up with that? Can't they stay properly stocked?) This franchised McDonalds is undoubtly one of, if not "the" poorest McDonalds I have visited. I travel in my job all over the state and have supported McDonalds from metro to rural operations and this location has earned my top award for poor customer service and an indifferent attitude toward their customers. By the way, who has the time and interest to wait extended wait times and then have to cancel their order? Not me! Better improve things or your doors will inevitably close for good. Have seen it happen before and it can and...
