LOCAL. Eats. Merch. Vibes. — Restaurant in Marina

I’ve been wanting to check this place out for a long while, and having recently gone on somewhat of a sandwich kick, finally got around to it just about an hour ago! I walked up only knowing that my wife wanted a cold roast beef, I already couldn’t decide. Walking up I saw the sandwich board advertising a hot link with deli mustard, and figured maybe one of those and a Reuben for sooner or later. But I walked in and was greeted and told that there’s a rib plate, so I got that and the hot link 🤤 As my order was being prepared, was drawn in by all the merch: art, books, tea, bunch of fun Chet! I noticed some arcade games too, but failed to see which games… And then right before pulling up a chair to sit, I looked up and saw Enter the 36 Chambers. This place is a gem. My husband and I found Local after a long weekend of moving shortly after Christmas this year. We were starving and our new place was just up the street so we popped in to support a local business! (We are also restaurant owners!) And from the first bite of our BBQ brisket and Hot Italian sandwiches we were hooked! Now every Saturday or Sunday when we’re free we stop in for sandwiches! We’ve tried almost every one on the menu and I have not one complaint! Incredible ingredients, super consistent and just in general absolutely delicious food! The owner is super nice and friendly too so the service is always great. Our kids love the burgers and chicken pesto sandwiches, so if you have picky eaters there are plenty of options! If you haven’t tried it and you live in Marina or are stopping through on your way to or from the Peninsula skip the high priced restaurants downtown with sub par lunch and grab a sandwich to take to the Marina beach or...

It’s one of those places that you don’t want to leave a review, because you want to keep this place to yourself.

But, I also want Grinderz to stay in business for long time, so I won’t complain even if I end up waiting in line to get my sandwich (which I already have).

They have great selections of cold / hot sandwiches, and I’ve only tried only two. I’m so happy that there are so many left for me to try and be happy with each selection.

So far, I tried Chicken Parmesan and their signature “Grinderz” and both were very good. Chicken Parmesan stayed crispy from the first to the last bite. Grinderz was so good and big, I ended up having it leftover for a dinner.

I also can’t forget to mention their reasonable price. In this crazy time of inflation, getting their sandwiches in $9~$12 is...
