Mr Bob's Do-Nuts — Restaurant in Marion

The donuts are to DIE for. I would absolutely give this place 5 stars, if it weren't for the owner's business practices and attitude towards customers. He doesn't generally keep enough donuts made to keep the volume of customers he gets served.

It's kind of a crapshoot. Some days, you get lucky, and you can go in around 9:30, like I did today, and have a decent selection left to choose from. Other days, you can walk through the door at 8:15, and the case will be all but empty. He also has a tendency to just not open the store on random days, without any advance notice.

When customers have attempted to broach the subject with the owner, usually on social media, he literally whines and complains to them about the difficulties of having a small business. He refuses to imagine that his business would be less troublesome if he practiced better... you know... BUSINESS. It's as if he's actually complaining about having too many customers. Because of his attitude and business practices, I very seldom patronize this establishment.

Even though the donuts are amazing, it doesn't do anyone much good, if there aren't...

You can't go wrong with this place! They've got something for everyone and everything is delicious! Be it their award winning apple uglies, cream horns, coffee or their insane variety of doughnuts, my favorite of which is definitely the peanut butter cream. The staff is incredibly friendly and great at what they do! All of that applies to their Old Fort location as well!

Also, while I'm not sure about the limit on their delivery range, if you get a dozen or more doughnuts they do deliver, which is great if you want to spoil some folks at events, meetings,...

I WAS a skeptic and diehard KrispyKreme fan. Now that I have tasted a Mr Bob's, no other do-nut will ever suffice. These are the best do-nots you will EVER eat. They have many regular flavors daily and also added feature flavors like red velvet or chocolate cake. They also have wonderful bagels, pretzels, cream horns and other puff pastries. I even have my coworkers from Asheville hooked. I am proud that we have 2 locations in our county! What inspired me to write this? I just ate a chocolate covered cream filled Mr....
