I don't know about this one guys, first I want to say we were served by the kindest waitress ever. She was extremely caring and kind. I wish I'd ask for her name. Let's get to the food part. It was our first time here. We noticed the place was empty and we liked the atmosphere but it was quickly put down because the employees were extremely loud talking amongst themselves which made the atmosphere a bit unusual. We ordered appetizers and were told they were half the price at that time. We ordered the cheesy bread and it was fresh and delicious so we were hopeful that the rest of our meal would be top notch. I asked for a tap beer which was served on a nice glass cup. Upon drinking it I was extremely thrown off by the smell of the glass cup. It smelled like a used dirty rag. It was off putting and disgusting. I decided to ignore it. We receive our entrees and to our surprise, unfortunately it wasn't top notch. It was extremely below average and disappointing. My son ordered the "make your own" pizza which he asked for chicken on it & white sauce. The pizza immediately looked like it had way too much grease on it ... He still tried it and told me he did not like it. Upon looking at the pizza in depth you could tell the chicken they used was not fresh. Seemed frozen (the way it looked as if it was grilled chicken from one of those frozen bags) we told the waitress about it and she was kind and offered us something else. She took the pizza off the ticket but still charged us for the replacement in which my son ordered just dessert (lava cake) I'll get to that later. I ordered the full size risotto with a price of $32 I expected it to be incredible. It wasn't. I wish I took pictures but I didn't. It was mushy, it smelled as tho the scallops were old it tasted off but I decided not to let the waitress know as we had already complained about my sons pizza and we didn't want to seem like we were trying to get things for free because we weren't. Lava cake came out for my son and the cake was obviously re heated and tasted old. It was just an overall bad experience and the bill came up to be $66 - I never write reviews like this one but I don't think we'll be coming back here any time soon. I can honestly make a better risotto at home and I am not even Italian. 😂 This is my honest review based on my...
Read moreI used to love this restaurant chain back when they had locations in Westford and Marlborough. It was our go-to spot for pizza, wings, or a great chicken parm sandwich—whether it was a family dinner or a stop after my son’s football practice or wrestling match.
Recently, I was driving my son to school after a basketball game, and the whole family was hungry. I suggested we stop at Evviva Trattoria, thinking we’d get the same great food we used to enjoy. Unfortunately, I was wrong.
The quality has gone downhill drastically. We started with wings as an appetizer, expecting the thick, meaty wings they used to serve. Instead, what came out looked like they were on a diet—small, dry, and unappetizing.
For our entrées, my older son and I ordered the chicken parm, my wife got the Mediterranean falafel, and my younger son had a small pepperoni pizza. The chicken parm used to be a thick, perfectly breaded cutlet, but now it’s thin, overcooked, and hard in the middle. The pasta sauce tasted like it came straight from a can—cold and bland. I could still taste the overpowering garlic on the way home.
My wife was shocked by the falafel. Instead of fresh, round, steaming falafel balls, she got something frozen on the inside and poorly cooked. And the pizza—once one of the best from this restaurant—looked and tasted like it came from a frozen box at BJ’s.
To top it all off, the meal cost $140—just for food and a few sodas, no alcohol. It’s frustrating to see how much the quality has declined while the prices remain high. I used to recommend this place to everyone, but after this experience, I can’t anymore. It’s disappointing when a once-great restaurant loses what...
Read moreHi folks! I just had to send a shout out to Evivva Trattoria, Bartender Sammy and Manager Eric (I think that was his name). As usual, I was trying to decide what to order and I was telling Sammy that I really miss the Lobster & Shrimp Risotto. Sammy said she would ask the chef if he could make it for me because they added lobster back to the menu. The answer was "yes"!
What arrived was way more than I could have asked for!!! Apparently, Sammy put in the order as a Veggie Risotto with an add on of Lobster and Shrimp. OH MY GOSH....AMAZING!!
I told Sammy it was a top TWO meal I have ever had (I'm a great cook myself and super picky about Risotto...something I don't make). She went back to send my compliments to the chef and the manager came out to hear more....and then comped me and my husband a round of drinks (because they ran out of the Chocolate Chip Bread Pudding that was scrolling on the screen above us).
I ordered the half portion and the price was $26. I felt that was fair because I used to pay $19 for the Lobster & Shrimp Risotto (without the sautéed spinach, asparagus, plum tomatoes etc.) I stuffed myself and still had enough to take home and enjoy again!!!
If you want the ultimate indulgence, head on over to Evivva Trattoria, sit at the bar and ask for Sammy or Eric and then order the "Judy Special". Or just order the Veggie Risotto with...
