During my recent visit to a local hotel, I stumbled upon a culinary gem nestled within the shopping center – Kinzen. Captivated by the restaurant's inviting aura, I knew I had to indulge in their offerings. As someone with only prior experience with instant ramen from the grocery store, I eagerly embarked on this adventure, and boy, was it a delightful one!
Arriving on a serene Wednesday evening, I was pleasantly surprised to find Kinzen peacefully awaiting my arrival. The intimate setting created an ambiance that instantly put me at ease, allowing me to fully immerse myself in this ramen voyage.
After careful consideration, I settled on their renowned Nan Nan ramen, a choice I will forever cherish. From the moment it was placed before me, its presentation was impeccable, a feast for both the eyes and the palate. The harmonious blend of vibrant colors and enticing aromas truly elevated the anticipation of the first bite.
And what a bite it was! Kinzen's Nan Nan ramen surpassed all expectations, transforming my previous ramen encounters into mere distant memories. The spice level was masterfully balanced, adding a tantalizing kick that danced upon my taste buds. Each slurp of the broth revealed an intricate depth of flavor, leaving me in awe of the culinary artistry at play.
Kinzen has undeniably perfected the art of ramen, leaving an indelible mark on my taste buds and heart. The sheer excellence of their dish beckons me to return on my next visit to town. Rest assured, Kinzen will be my first destination, and I eagerly await the opportunity to relive this unforgettable experience.
I would be remiss not to mention the attached photo of the ramen that captured the essence of Kinzen's culinary prowess. It serves as a mouthwatering reminder of the memorable journey I embarked upon.

Read moreThe place: New England is cold, I get it, but if you plan on sitting down here in winter, wear a coat for inside. The first three tables in the restaurant get absolutely blasted by outside air every time someone opens the door. Makes for a miserable dining experience. The food: started with the gyoza, which was very nicely crisped, but lacked any decent flavor on the filling. I opted for the spicy miso with an (extra charge) softboiled egg. The egg was the star of the show and was surprisingly good. The broth was ok, but nothing in the dish stood out. The chashu was excessively fatty and pretty tasteless. The couple next to us had about 3 bites of food before they also abandoned their dinner plans. The service: a lone waitress on a busy Saturday night is criminal, and she was as attentive as she could be. I don't fault the poor woman for being swamped, this place should have two servers so you're not waiting as long as you will be for things.
Maybe it was an off night or this place has a lot of first time ramen folks, but I don't get the ravings about the food. I don't like to leave bad reviews but I feel absolutely duped by what's currently sitting out there in...
Read moreBest ramen I've ever had! Delicious rice bowls! My fam of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids, 6 and 8 yrs old) really enjoyed ourselves here. I super recommend their Tonkotsu Ramen which comes full of pork belly, wood ear mushroom, a soft boiled egg, noods, plus more in an addictive broth. Then I also loved their Unagi Don which is a very tasty rice-based dish topped with a huge piece of eel in a sweet and savory sauce. My younger daughter adored her Chicken Teriyaki and it was the best version I've tried. Then though my older daughter had trouble finishing her ramen, it reheated well for breakfast the next day. This place was so good that it spoiled us!
