Stopped in on a whim on a Saturday evening around 7pm as we were just passing through town. The restaurant smells amazing; from the moment you walk in you know you’re in for a treat! Decor is very nice, and the ambiance is friendly and joyful.
I ordered takeout and was told 20 minutes, but it took 45. I got the impression, based on other takeout customers who came in while I was there, that this is not typical. It seemed like the kitchen was struggling a bit, as there were parties who arrived at the same time I did and did not have food yet when I left. I think they may have been lacking a manager that night; there seemed to be a lot of double-checking (several staff members trying to make sure things were being done, but without much organization — for instance, three people checked the bag my takeout was in before I could pay my bill).
What struck me most was that this is a happy restaurant. Despite the slow service, the waitstaff was excellent and very pleasant, the food was the best I’ve had in years, and the customers were having a wonderful time. While I was there, about five parties of 4-6 came in, and 2 parties of 13+. They were all still smiling and chatting happily when I left, even with nothing but water on their tables.
For the food alone I would recommend trying Mirchi Nation; the friendly ambiance makes for a lovely meal out. I have confidence that the level of disorganization is unusual and temporary. Looking forward to coming back next time...
Read moreIf I have option to give 0 rating , I would give , I ordered 2 Chicken roasted biryani from door dash. I had a very disappointing experience with this , and right from the first bite, I could tell that the rice was not fresh. It had a stale texture and lacked the aroma and flavor you'd expect from a well-made biryani. The chicken pieces were even worse — they seemed like they were just tossed into the rice as an afterthought. There was no spice, no salt, and absolutely no marination. It honestly felt like as plain rice and bland chicken mixed together without any effort or care. The taste was completely unacceptable. This was not just a matter of personal preference; the food was simply not edible. I ended up calling the restaurant to inform them about the poor quality, and to their credit, they did respond by saying a new batch had just been prepared and invited me to pick it up and they refused to refund and later didn't even pick up call. While I appreciate the gesture, it doesn’t change the fact that such low standards should not have been served in the first place, especially when people are paying for a proper meal.Food quality, consistency, and taste are fundamental, and unfortunately, this experience missed the mark...
Read moreI order idly vada combo in the afternoon of 04 Mar 22 as a pickup order, after I picked it and drove back to my surprise I find this not fresh but seemed like a day old. The idly had a hard layer over it and was soggy, the vada was hard as well. They seemed like they were definetly not fresh or atleast made on the same day. I drove back to the restaurant to get an answer or replacement and when I complained about the quality the answer I got was we do not sell food which is not fresh sir. I asked to take a look at the food I received and say if it is fresh or not and the guy who was at the front counter looked at it and said this is how they usually are and it is fine as if I am the one who was wrong and didnt know how the item ordered looks or tastes. I end up ordering a different item and the guy said I had to pay a dollar extra for the new item, I was surprised at the service as there was no apology for the poor quality in the first place and also not taking into account the inconvenience I had to go through wasting time and gas driving back and forth. I didn't say word to the guy and paid the extra dollar and left the place but if the management is looking at this review this is not the way to...
