Horrible experience, the person in charge super rude, came to scream at us because the waitress messed up our order. I got 3 habachi dinner and 1 kids habachi and just a sushi for myself, we got charge for total of 5 habachi. He served me and I gave some of my food to my boyfriend and I removed the plate in front of me as I was eating my sushi. This guy kept serving me and I was think probably he was being nice. I complained when I got the check to the waitress and the this guy came back so mad and screaming at me saying that I ate the food and he was doing me a favor to serve us because we came 40 minutes before closing and I called to make the reservation for that time. We didn't even get the miso soup or the salad that come with habachi dinner either. We were rushed since we got there, with a bad actitud , poor service. I brought my family from Spain to eat and it was a very bad experience for them. This person doesn't have any rights to express that way to us. No need for that reaction from this guy, the bill was 180$ I left 30$ just because, so one was doing me a favor to serve me food because I paid for it I will never come back,...
Read moreService was terrible. Food was okay, the only reason im rating this as a 1 star is because of the first time experience with this place. The experience itself was unbelievable, there is no reason I should be waiting so long to receive drinks and then wait for half an hour or more to start using the grill to make our food. Granted the food was okay, the downside is that even if you did not enjoy the experience and the quality of the place, management should never force you to put a tip even if you have the option to not put a tip. I literally got stopped after the person at the front desk after I already paid, complaining that I didn’t put a tip and I explained that the quality of the service was terrible. They continued to complain that I should’ve given a tip and at that I point, I was forced to put a tip down regardless of my experience here. There are better places than this restaurant. My advice, go to another hibachi restaurant that offers better service and quality and not prioritize pushing their customers to place tips if it wasn’t what you were expecting....
Read moreUsed to Be a Favorite, But It’s Gone Downhill I used to go to Ginger Garden every week, mainly for the hibachi—it was great back then. The food was fresh, the amount of vegetables was generous, and the overall experience made it worth coming back regularly. Unfortunately, things have changed a lot since the pandemic.
The food quality has really declined. The vegetables are noticeably fewer, and the rice was burned and crunchy the last few times I ordered. They also started charging extra for fried rice, which used to be included in the hibachi price—a frustrating change. Even small touches that made a difference—like the cherry in the Mai Tai—are gone.
The atmosphere has taken a hit too. There are boxes and clutter stacked up along the walls, and the bathrooms are consistently dirty and smell unpleasant.
I really wanted to keep supporting this place, but it’s just not the same anymore. Hope they turn things around, but for now, I can’t...
