I’m not one to leave reviews but after a few bad experiences this has been the worst one yet. I placed a mobile order on the app on a Saturday. Using the order tracking feature on the app I can see that my order was ready at around 7:05 am. I drove up to the store and saw that there was a very long line for the drive through so I decide that I will just park my car and grab my order off the counter and I could get where I need to go quickly. When I get to the doors they are locked and there is a sign on the door that says “We are only open for drive through”. Very frustrating since I only have a mobile order which I can see has been ready for a few minutes now and I should be able to just walk in and grab it myself. So I get in the line. After 10 minutes of waiting I hear the woman in the car in front of me ask through the speaker if she could just pull around and grab her mobile order from the window or the front door and they tell her no so I don’t bother asking. When it is finally my turn I tell them the name for my order and they say they have it ready and I just have to wait and grab it from the window. I finally pull up to the window at 7:20. 15 MINUTES after the app says my order is ready. When I tell the worker my name starts looking through all the coffees in front of him. He then says to me “Here is what happened….I just accidentally gave your drink the the car in front of you”. So after 15 minutes of me waiting in line for a mobile order which I could have just grabbed myself but couldn’t because they locked the doors, they tell me they gave my drink away to the wrong person. He did offer to remake it but says “if you can wait a few minutes”. At that point I was already late for work so instead I just asked for a refund. He says “I’m not sure…hold on”. AFTER 3 MORE MINUTES! He comes back with another employee and they start tapping on a screen. I ask them again if I will be getting a refund. They turn to me and say “hold on”. At this point I am very frustrated so I just tell them I am late and to just tell me I will be getting a refund so I can leave. I spent about 25 minutes at that Starbucks that morning. Did not get my coffee and was late for work. The employees I dealt with did not say sorry to me and even seemed annoyed that I was asking for a refund even though I was very nice about it and acknowledged it may have not even been their fault, I am a waitress I know it is hard being in the service industry. Read moreThis used to be my favorite store in the area, I would go out of my way to go there at least once or twice a week. But after a few run ins with the same employee in the last month, I will avoid this store. I usually order my drinks (4 to 5 drinks) on the mobile app and pick up in the drive through. Today I ordered my usual black ice tea (no water, extra ice). What I was handed was yellow colored water. I told the employee that my drink was not correct and repeated my order. Anyone looking at the drink could tell it was not black tea. I even held it up for the employee and she (rolled her eyes) admitted it did not look right, but since it came out of the pitcher marked “black tea” it was what I was getting. She said there was no time to correct my drink and I would have to call to get a refund, then kicked me out of the drive through. So you knew the drink did not look right and instead of using the 20+ minutes I sat in the drive through to fix it, you served it anyway. Read moreFantastic service and atmosphere!! Pretty much all the staff know u by name if ur a regular and find something to talk w u about! They are the fastest morning group I've ever met! Even the drive thru ones are way slower than these Barista's are!! I love them! They make u feel like a friend/family!! Update: the Franklin park location is extremely slow and appears aimless in production. I suggest mobile ordering about 30 minutes in advance, between open and about 9am. Otherwise you'll be standing around for at least that long. This way at least there's a possibility of your order being ready. If it's a multi person order...I'd say 45 minutes in advance. The staff are nice, but they don't seem to have a good system for employees to follow. From placing your order to receiving your order, as an observer, the staff moves erratically and not systematically. It doesn't seem like they have a smooth routine down, or maybe nor everyone knows it. Also the turn over rate of employees is high now...so pretty much no one knows you...ur just another person.
