After we left this place, my companion and I looked at each other and both went "Meh!". This was a shame as we really thought we'd like the place a lot more when we looked it over online. the menu looks interesting and they allow you to decide on which kind of patty to put on your burger: Beef, chicken, or impossible meat substitute. There are interesting sounding combinations. Their salads looked good. And as a taphouse, we thought we'd find some really interesting beers on tap, as well as perhaps unique offerings by the bottle or can. Reality was not quite what we hoped for. We got the Salmon salad. It was interesting. The Salmon was perfectly cooked and the combination of veggies was a bit different than what you normally find. It's not always that you get green beans in your salad. The combination with the tart salad dressing worked really well. So far so good. The pimento cheese sandwich was too messy. This required two napkins just to pick up. Ultimately, it ended up being eaten with a knife and fork. Who wants to eat a burger with a knife and fork? The combination of the melty cheese with the mayo, the tomatoes and more was just too many greasy elements. We upgraded to the roasted cauliflower as a side because we wanted some thing different than french fries. They were very underwhelming. Cooked cauliflower with almost no seasoning? Really?? For a $2 upcharge? Finally the beer selection was plain confusing. The beer choices seemed meager (as in not many) and the layout was difficult to decipher for what was what. We ended up not ordering any and restricted ourselves to water. Now came the kicker. Sandwich, salad and two waters. Tab with tip came to $30 per person. That is way too high for this level of food. So, nothing really terrible, but there are better choices at better price points all over this city.

For a place open until 11p you felt like you were being pushed out, with how many times the server came to the table to get our order within the first 10 minutes of seating. The Bar Scene was off: First as people left the bar (it was not busy) the bar got cleaned to the point that it appeared that the middle of the bar to the back was closed as it was cleaned and no one came in and sat there, probably observing the same thing. The only people left at the bar at 8:30 at night were huddled down towards the entrance (it was odd). Kind of indicating that the bar may not be open to sit at even if it was. Our first time there had no idea what all the menu had, and if you get an IMPOSSIBLE burger, unless you want classic you have to take the bacon off of every other option, which leaves you back to basic. I did take the bacon off one of the combos. Food: The burgers are large, but dry. The impossible was like chewing leather and the flavor was not good. The fries were dried and way over salted too. The other burger ordered at our table was the same and it was a beef burger. No we did not complain, we just dealt with it. The moonshine margarita -- just basic and better margaritas can be found at many local restaurants, it just lacked, and it didn't taste like blueberry at all. Ordered more beer and by the time it came, we could have self-served it as it was sitting at the bar forever, because unlike the beginning of our time here after sitting and dining, service phased out. More for a drink, less for the atmosphere, and not for the food.

First trip here, so I wanted to try a variety of menu items. We ordered the hummus appetizer, roasted cauliflower with a bacon dipping sauce, soup of the day (wedding soup) and a hot chicken sandwich. The sandwich was great and came with a side of fries, and the others were good, but nothing that I was blown away by. The roasted cauliflower had a seasoning (something that reminded me of Indian cuisine) that I wasn’t expecting and didn’t love. Most of the roasted cauliflower had to be eaten with a spoon since it was in such small pieces. The seasoning combined with the sauce wasn’t enjoyable and the cauliflower was sat in a bowl filled with oil. It’s not a side dish I would order again. The hummus appetizer was good. It was served with carrots, celery, cauliflower, naan, and crostini. The crostini was too hard to eat, even when dipped in hummus. The rest was great. While the homemade hummus was different than the authentic Mediterranean hummus I’m used to, it was still good. The soup was good, a nice balance of ingredients and not salty like you tend to find in most restaurants. Overall the atmosphere was great. The restaurant was busy for lunch but our food still came out quickly and we didn’t have to wait long. The service was also great. I’d probably return and try some different menu items, based on the positive reviews.

We have eaten here many times as well as ordered takeout. I ordered take out this time and when I arrived to pick it up was told be another half an hour. I said no problem I will wait at the bar. 45 minutes later was told the food would be 10 more minutes. The couple next to me at the bar ordered takeout after I sat down next to them their food came 20 minutes before my order even though I had ordered it 20 minutes before arriving at the restaurant. I politely asked the hostess to check on my food and if it was not ready told her I'd prefer a refund then waiting any longer. Did you rather than provide me with the refund I requested the food was brought out after several more minutes. I begrudgingly accepted it since my wife and I were so hungry. I felt terrible for the hostess as she was doing the best job she could but yet had to deal with many angry customers in a similar situation to myself. The part that really irritated me was that the boss would not come out to address anything nor issue a refund. So incredibly disappointed and disgusted with whoever the boss was on Friday 10/4. The bartender, servers, and hostess we're doing the best they could but when things are that backed up and mismanaged customers should receive some sort of compensation or at least a discount. Nothing was offered in any way. Whoever is in charge needs...
