IHOP — Restaurant in Marshall

STORY TIME.. DON'T GO.... My best friend and I went to Ihop tonight around 3AM. We got a table amongst 10 other fellow diners, ordered drinks, and waited to order food. There was 1 waiter and 1 waitress working the floor. After 15 minutes the waiter came back to take our orders. While we waited for our food we had a good 30 minutes to observe the conditions of the establishment. There was trash scattered across the floor along with food and utensils that remained there until we left over an hour later. The other tables simply got up and left without paying their tab despite their efforts to get someones attention. Our food made it's way to our table by way of Japan, I immediately told the waiter I needed sauce for my food with which he acknowledged and walked away. 20 minutes later he has disappeared and my sauce was missing in action. I got the attention of the lady and she held up her hand signaling "1 minute" - 30 minutes passed and she never came back. (She was the manager)... My friend, a combat veteran went to the bathroom and quickly returned to the table, he said "Man, I've been to countries were the only toilet was a whole in the middle of the floor, and that was more sanitary than this".... After my sauce arrived via a carrier pigeon from Spain I told the waiter about the bathroom, he laughed, shrugged, and walked off. My friend stopped eating and lost his appetite. By the time I got my sauce my food was a little colder than Antarctica itself. I started eating and noticed there were four to five 4 year olds running behind the serving area and in and out of the kitchen. The kids then brought out food plates and handed them to the waiters. They then picked up some trash from the ground and started touching Silverware and cups and giving it to people at their tables. It's 3 am, among all the questions I had, why are their 4 year olds at ihop during the middle of the night, serving food, working in the kitchen, and doing better than the waiters who are getting paid to do their jobs. I lost my appetite after seeing the behavior of the kids and how the operation was running. I work in a funeral home and see things most people can't imagine and I never have lost my appetite until tonight's ihop encounter. If you want to eat so bad that you'll eat here, in the 9th circle of hell, then go ahead. I'd rather starve honestly. Hopefully no disease was contracted...

We went in Sunday night bout 12 am. It wasn't busy. Just one table. Waitress told us when we walked in that it would be 30 minute wait cuz she had to clean tables. We waited. Waitress took our drink order. They were out of Dr pepper so she offered me a shake for Dr pepper price. I ordered a Oreo shake. Brought out everybody's drink but mine. Finally came and said I know u ordered Oreo shake but I made this one(strawberry shake). And left it an dmetal container on table. Didn't even hand it across to me. We ordered our food. I ordered ham and chz omelette with 2 pancakes and we ordered cuz sticks for appetizers. Brought out app but still no drink for me. When I mentioned I don't have my drink her response was I know. Finally after bout 20 minutes she brings out other people's food at my table. Still don't have my food or drink. She cashed other table out and finally another table came in. I am still patiently waiting on my drink and food. Bout 15 minutes later she brings out the other table food that just walked in. I finally lost it and said can I get my damn food and drink. Sh eran to kitchen and told cook u need to wait on them. Finally cook cake and asked what happened. I told her and she asked what I ordered. (Guess waitress didn't put my food order in). Finally cook go tmy food and shake. Only reason for 1 star waitress never came back to table. Made cook cash us out. That waitress doesn't need to be there if she doesn't care bout her customers. I...

We we on a long trip. We stopped to dine in rather than try to eat and drive. The restaurant seemed to be doing a good job observing the social distancing recommendations. It did not appear overly busy. However 30-45 min later we still hadn’t received our meals. I was getting a little frustrated and happened to make eye contact with a female employee. (Not our waiter) we hadn’t seen him in a while. The lady (I failed to get her name) immediately started looking into the status of our order. She politely explained they had a very large group in the back dining room and the kitchen was backed up. I asked our waiter when he brought a refill and another update on the food to go ahead and bring my husband’s food. He had been traveling for many hours through many airports that are no longer providing food. The lady once again walked by. By now I have figured out that I think she is the manager. She was so nice and offered to comp my meal as their way of apologizing for the unusual wait time. So thanks to her actions she turned my frown upside down lol. The food was...
