Went to the Marshall, MN location on a Friday night after a wrestling tournament. We got there at about 9:20 PM. Knowing they close at 10, my wife and I along with our 3 kids ordered as fast as possible and got our food around 9:45. When the food came the waitress brought my wife and kids food and said that mine would be right out because the cook had to make some gravy for my chicken biscuit meal....no big deal. Mine came out just a couple minutes later. The gravy was so unbelievably salty that I couldn't even eat anything that had it on. Not wanting to hold things up and also not being super hungry anyway, I ate only the chicken, bacon, and eggs. We were done eating at about 10:05 and my wife took our youngest child out to the car while our oldest and middle child waited inside to get a to go box and pay the bill. I went to the counter to pay, paid cash, and after I paid I told the waitress that the gravy was terribly salty(I wasn't complaining, I just thought they should know so they didn't ruin someone else's food with it). She then told me "well yeah, he just made it, it's gonna be salty." Confused as to how it just being made makes it more salty, and a little ticked off at the response I got, I forgot to leave a tip(even with the rude response I still would have left a tip). While she was still standing there i brought my 2 year old son to the bathroom to change his diaper while our oldest son stayed outside the bathroom. While changing his diaper, i remembered that i didn't leave a tip, so i figured i would just hand it to the waitress as we walked out....then the lights go out. Thinking that there is maybe some sort of motion or automatic switch that shut off, I turned my phone light on and found no switch. Then my oldest opened the bathroom door and held the light so I could see to finish changing the diaper. He told me the lights were off in the dining area too. I was livid, she actually shut the lights off on us while I was in the bathroom changing a diaper. After several 4 letter words, I got everything gathered up and walked out. As I'm buckling my 2 year old in and telling my wife about what happened, she says "wooooow, now she just turned the lights back on". Sure enough, 2 minutes after we walk out the lights were back on. We used to go there all the time before we had 3 kids, that waitress was actually our favorite one....she was always super nice to us and our oldest son. NEVER again will I go to...

So for the first time in over a year and half basically since COVID my Dad has not been able to get out of the nursing home. But he can. So Sunday we set it up to get Dad out going to the lake and roast some wiener. So I head to Perkins to pickup a few pies and use my coupon before it expires. Get to Perkins order my pies give the girl checking me out my coupon. She says "that coupon can not be used on bakery" I ask her to show me where it says that. She says it doesn't. I ask to talk to a manager. She said there weren't any on duty. I asked to call one she said I can't have their number. So I leave my number and request a call back.
So not only would Perkins not honor a coupon they emailed me. I have drove 60 miles round trip. And NO pie for our outing with our Dad first in over a year and a half.
Apparently COVID did not affect Perkins because it was made very obvious that they do not need business especially when there is no one there that can honor the coupon they sent.
I would give a negative number if possible.
5-27-21 I still have not received a call back from the manager tomorrow will be 7 days. Again just confirms Perkins in Marshall definitely is not in need a business.
6-4-21 I am sure you won't be surprised but I still have not heard from the manager at the Marshall Perkins. Again confirms that apparently the Marshall Perkins unlike the other local businesses in Marshall does NOT need the locals business.

Read moreHonestly I’ll give it a three because of the waitress name Ozzie she is amazing her personality is amazing she was able to take my order for me she was able to repeat it back to me she was able to make sure that it was all put together when I got there the reason why it is not a high score is because you can tell how disrespectful whoever the female manager was or lead hostess was because she was too pushy to disrespectful to people of color she did not care to help or serve me she allowed a group of elderly white women to block my way from me properly being able to get served knowing that it’s a pandemic there were a mixture of people with no face mask and I just felt like that was why my score was low other than that the food was great I tipped my waiter Ozzie and I tip The cook I’m not gonna lie to you they are the only reason why I keep coming back because of the wait staff that knows how to treat people no matter the color of their skin and the cooks who know how to get down in the kitchen I just find it really disrespectful but what can you...
