If you’re looking for the tldr, bugs in food, dirty dishes, rotten limes, bad service. We go in and specifically ask to sit where we can hear the singer for the night. (The only reason we went.) The hostess sits us downstairs next to the bar. When the waitress comes over after we had waited 15 minutes, we ask where the singer is, she directs us upstairs. No big deal, just a misunderstanding. After waiting for a hostess that was busy elsewhere a waitress sat us outside. We waited for 20 minutes before we finally got our waitress. She brings waters and takes a drink order. Comes back and the lime in my corona and my fiancés drink were both yellow. Fine, they seem busy. They bring out the appetizer (fried calamari) and start to pick. She realized we don’t have plates and brought over two that were definitely used or not washed. No big deal, we will just pick off the plate. Entrees come out and my first fork into my entree there was a big bug right in the food and fork. Keep in mind this plate hadn’t been on the table for more than 30 seconds. As im waiting to get the attention of someone we notice the appetizer had bugs in it as well. At this point I’m aggravated, get the check and leave. But even after pointing this out there really wasn’t much alarm. I really don’t know how people aren’t getting sick here because clearly, it’s not clean.

The service is awesome! We went today for the $1 dollar oysters and they were packed! We didn’t make a reservation, but they put us on the waiting list and we barely had to wait. Once we got there after receiving the text that our table was ready, we were sat right away. Despite that fact of the packed restaurant, that didn’t stop our server to make an excellent job. She came right after we sat, took our oyster and drinks order and it came right away. The oysters were perfect size! Not too small not too big. One thing we wished was that they had hot sauce on the table like the salt and pepper and ketchup. Our server, I believe her name was Emily, checked on us appropriately; the right amount of time. After taking our dinner order, we didn’t have to wait too long for our dishes to be on our table. They came warm and very well presented. Most importantly, our dinner was delightful delicious! We will definitely go back! PS pics are from different nights.

This restaurant is in a nice location near the ocean. The inside is very nice as well. Stopped in here for lunch and had the chicken parmesan. It could have been good, except it was plated in a puddle of water (see pics). It look like they didn't strain the pasta and it ended up making the chicken very soggy. Also, there were several flies buzzing around interrupting the meal. One person that was with me is typically very picky about their food and they got the lobster roll. At $32 it was quite pricey but they enjoyed it and making them happy isn't easy to do.

Haddad's has been a Marshfield staple for a long, long time. A little over half a decade ago they built the current building which expanded their seating by a ton, and added parking. Parking on really busy nights can be a little but of a pain, but its usually not terrible. The atmosphere is fairly plain but it's bright with high ceilings and clean.

The service is never unfriendly, but sometimes there is confusion. Today it took us much longer than expected to be seated, we were told 10 minutes but it was more like 20-25. But I understand it's just an estimate. Our server was very nice, but she seemed overwhelmed. It's not that she didn't check in often our of laziness, it was more that she had a lot of very demanding customers and I think this put her under some stress and maybe she was new. We got everything we ordered, but she had to come back to check what he had ordered and she forgot to ask what one of us wanted for sides. It took about an hour from the time we sat down after waiting for the table to order and receive our food. But I don't blame the server for this.

The have a large menu with a lot on it to satisfy those who don't eat seafood, and a pretty solid beer and cocktail selection with a bunch of local and Maine beers on tap (Mainer's make good beer). But how's the food? It's a-ok. What do I mean by that? Well it sort of depends on what you get, that is to say, the fried scallops were excellent, the clams were just okay. The clams don't hold a candle to North Shore clams unfortunately, perhaps I'm spoiled. They were really, really big, and the coating was sort of bland and not the style I prefer. The fries and vegetable sides were basic but tasty enough. So all in all it was a totally acceptable dinner. Their service has typically not been quite so slow in the past so if you're in the area and looking for a place to go especially with kids or a group...

They have the best Steak and Cheese on a open faced roll smothered in pepper and onions served w/your choice of sides, FF, Sweet Potato Fries, Cole Slaw or Onion Rings. This is only served on Fridays and once it's gone, It's gone. Get there early because it sells out fast! A Huge Bar that is absolutely beautiful. Custom made. There are high tables and chairs, or reg dining tables and chairs with windows that overlook the marsh from all seating areas. They have a outside deck's on the second floor open in the Spring and Summer with evening entertainment some evenings while having cocktails, apps or meals while watching the sun set. Beautiful way to end the day after basking in the sun at the beach. They just built another deck off of the bar to sit have appetizers, meals, pizza with a very good selection on the vast menu. I just tried the fried Haddock Reuben sandwich with Cajun fries which was delicious. My son likes the spicy chicken sandwich with Cajun fries for lunch if they run out of the steak and cheese sandwich. Oh, don't forget to try the Chowders and they have daily lunch and dinner specials. If you don't want kids in bar area they have a dining room also. I prefer the bar side because of the atmosphere of the views. Go and Enjoy. You will not be...
