I chose the Inn to stay in because it was near Brant Rock and we were only going to be there for a few days, and did not want to stay several towns over from our destination. The other hotel in town is unlivable from all reviews so this was it. ||Biggest annoyance: parking is not guaranteed. The restaurant is busy, and prioritized over the Inn. If you try to come back to your room before 10pm you will have to double park and have them call you to move your car later. Huge inconvenience that they do not warn you about - or seem to care. There are not that many rooms for the Inn and they certainly could reserve a spot for each room. They do not. ||Carpet needs cleaning and vacuuming quite desperately. Did not go barefoot on the carpeted floor.||Everything is a bit worn out. ||Key cards were not working and had to get new ones multiple times. Check in is at the hostess stand and if there is a problem - like key cards - you have to wait there while someone finds the owner. ||There is a deadbolt on the door, but no peep hole or any other security locks. No phones in the room so if you have an issue you have to go downstairs. You also do not get Wifi. It says they have it. In the rooms upstairs you do not have it. Complete deadzone.||There was one hanging card in one of the rooms that we could put on the door to ask for housekeeping service. We hung it on one of the rooms and they did not come. ||One of the toilets in one of the rooms (we had three rooms) kept running. When I popped off the top to see if I could stop it, the inner parts were held together with tape and twine. I did manage to stop it from running that time but every time after it had to be reset.||One room was 65 degrees. It appeared that the thermostat did not work? Because we set it to 72 and left for a short time, when we came back it was still 65. We found a portable heater in the room that we ended up turning on to get the room comfortable. ||I wanted to like this place. But the afterthought put into the rooms in not good. One elderly couple was staying in one of the rooms and leaving at the same time as us. There are no elevators to the second floor and they had no one to help with the luggage. Unfortunately we caught them on the last load up and down the stairs. ||I can say the bathrooms were clean. and the...

Read moreI really wanted to like this place. It is super quaint and in a great location with incredible views of the ocean. But...it was quite disappointing.
I'm all about integrity, so I'm not expecting the Four Seasons. I'm expecting a sweet little inn. I expect hangers to hang my clothes, a decent pillow, a chair to sit in, and to enjoy that incredible view of the water and stars! Considering the restaurant downstairs I'm also expecting a decent meal with local oriented food.
Instead, I encountered thin wire hangers one gets free from the dry cleaner, a lumpy pillow, a chair that is clearly falling apart, and the light in the parking lot across the street shining into my room.
The restaurant was completely uninspired. Everything felt straight from Sysco. At least server was friendly.
Here's my honest recommendation: Go to Target and buy some hangers and pillows. Pick up a basic chair and desk from a hotel supplier. Talk to a good chef and come up with 4 good dishes that are locally inspired and not too complicated. Just offer a small menu of great food. This last one will be tougher, but convince the township to put a shield around street light that directs the light down (where it's wanted) rather than up into your guest rooms (where it's a atmosphere killer).
This place has potential to be wonderful but you have to care about the guest...
