Shameful though it may be, I'm somewhat of a regular at this Domino’s. It’s the kind of place you order from when you don’t want to be impressed—you just want to be fed. Usually, they deliver reliably okay food that is fast, hot, and consistent.
But this last order? A betrayal of trust, Domino's.
I ordered cheesy bread and lava cakes—my go-to combo for when life is hard and I need melty carbs to lie to me for a few minutes. What I got instead was bread with the ghost of cheese—a spectral hint, like cheese had unfinished business and came back to haunt this loaf one last time, and three lava cakes that had clearly been victims of a high-speed left turn. They arrived pancaked into one gooey chocolate singularity—less “molten lava dessert” and more “chocolate tectonic collision.”
Look, I didn’t come here expecting fine dining. I came for comfort. I came for cheese. I came for lava cakes, plural. What I got was disappointment wrapped in a cardboard box (pretending to be comfort food while emotionally unavailable the whole time), delivered with the urgency of a man fleeing a crime scene, and opened with the hopeful energy of someone about to be let down.
Do better, Domino’s. I’m not mad, I’m just... carb-starved and...
Read moreI have always had a great experience with this location and their delivery crew. My apartment can be difficult to locate and it seems like any time I order from DoorDash they need their handheld through the gate, but these guys get it done, find my place, and give me the delivery experience I was hoping for. I'm a mama, healthcare professional, and student- in a perfect world I'd cook all the time and have energy to spare. But I don't. I was prompted to write this review because I'm wrapping up finals assignments and I have two toddlers that eat like miniature line backers and my poor hubs gets home super late and hungry too- and everyone has to eat. I know it'll arrive fresh and hot, their chicken is always thoroughly cooked, and they do a darn good job for such good prices. Thank you for feeding my household on the days I can barely move! Also, we've ordered bacon on our pizza at multiple other places including pricy pizza joints, and I kid you not, this Domino's...
Read moreI work at a refinery which if anyone knows what that entails, we are not able to leave the gates due to regulatory requirements in order to keep the public safe. I guess I’m not sure why a pizza delivery business like dominos is unable to drop off at our gate where we could meet them to make the exchange. It is a very safe location, and in this instance not too far from these guys. The lady who tried to help was very apologetic that they couldn’t deliver to refineries but she said it was their policy.. it’s unfortunate that they’ll lose a large revenue stream where at any given time there are 200-400 workers at a refinery, but also that we are left with very few to no options when working graveyard for a 12 hour shift. Not a good business decision which will cause me to seek out other pizza stores to do business with...
