New Peking — Restaurant in Martinez

UPDATE: we liked their food and one day the rice was just a little off didn't taste like usual and then I called in and let them know it was too peppery for us and if they can please not put any and they mentioned to bring it back they would redo it. Once I got the three owner who is also one of the cooks came out and was very rude about the whole situation. He said " I don't like complaining of my food" I said I was not complaining I was bringing it a point that we ordered this at least 4 times before and it was not spicy then, and this time there might have been just a little too much pepper. I even told him my sister could not eat spicy and he didn't care he wad angry and rude about it. No customer service whatsoever, we'r ette becoming regulars ordering the same things and if an employee let alone the owner acts in that manner, that means they don't care about the customers. Needless to say, I am no longer a customer of this restaurant.

REMEMBER: CUSTOMER SERVICE IS IMPORTANT TOO ...................................................................................... This place is wonderful, I was surprised that i have lived in this city for such a long time and never knew about this place. You want quality Chinese food? This is your land they use quality ingredients they trim fats off the meats to make sure you get more protein and not just fat. The sweet and sour sauce is delicious. Their BBQ pork chow main is very tasty and the veggies are always very fresh. You guys need to try this place out. It is mostly take out but you can eat there too. I have always take it home since I live very close. Ther staff is very courteous and always have a smile on their faces....

We were looking for a place for a quick meal after a long day and came across Acme on social media. Lots of positive reviews so we decided to give it a try. This place sure lived up to the positive reviews! The lady at the counter was really friendly, and assured us the food was all prepared fresh. We tried the dinner combo (one entree & one side, we chose spicy eggplant chicken and chow mein) and the hybrid combo (choice of two items; we got California roll and egg roll). The food was served promptly and hot. We could tell it really is prepared fresh! Very tasty, nice texture unlike places where the food sits in steam tables for hours. Prices are very reasonable. We will be going back! Other things of note: This restaurant is really tiny, order are taken at the counter. No table service after 8pm, to-go orders only. No public restroom, bathrooms available at nearby...

They are SUPER nice and the combo special plate was delicious.

I upgraded my fried rice to BBQ pork fried, ordered cashew chicken, added a spring roll and waited to see what happened.

First to arrive was delicious hot and sour soup. Then my lunch special plate. There was so much food on it there was no way I could even eat half of it (and I am a big dude who arrived hungry.)

Next thing I noticed was real undiluted soy sauce bottles on the tables. This is the only place I've been to in decades that doesn't water down the soy sauce to extend it down the street and around the corner.

So I used one dash instead of half the bottle. Thumbs up ACME for that!

Bill not incl a tip was $18. What a deal . I'll be back to get some things to go.
