I have been an avid supporter of the Ground Floor since day one. We desperately have needed a safe space to grab a drink, chat over coffee, have meetings, catch up with old friends, or meet with your book club.
The staff at the ground floor is truly the very best. Morgan and Josh have trained the staff so well, and Iām grateful for their friendship weāve formed over coffee and business with the staff. They always remember my orders, my allergies, and truly try to make sure you have the best experience.
The coffee is phenomenal. I also love that they homemake a few of their syrups (pumpkin spice and rosemary). The attention to detail is unlike anything in this area and much more mirrors a coffee shop in a larger metropolitan area.
Come as you are has truly been the best thing about the ground floor. I can come in dressed up, looking like a bum, in a frazzled rush, in a bad mood, and the staff is consistent every time. Such a welcoming space to hang out or decompress after work. I have so enjoyed getting to have a spot to meet friends for apps and drinks that isnāt a sketchy bar.
But letās get to the food guys. The Thai bowl, the ham jam sandwich, even the kids grilled cheese! And we definitely canāt forget to mention the kitchen staff - they always greet me. Make sure my Food is perfect. And the few times they have ran out of ingredients are really good about checking for substitutions that you like. Make sure to try the bruschetta, the whipped feta spread is one of the best appetizers Iāve ever had. Chefs kiss.
Cocktails! Coffee! Wine? Probiotic fiber soda to make you, ahemm, regular š¤£? I really donāt know anywhere else around here that is this many options. Such a culturally diverse welcoming space all the way around.
Forever and always a ground floor lover, canāt wait to see the next menu...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSince opening, service and selection seem to be going downhill. When the owner is working, he provides the best customer service. However, when he is not there, or has other there working, the service has declined. Today I went in to get my mobile order. There were 4 people there, with just the owner working. One kid was on his cell phone, and another pointed to him to get my drink. I actually had to check and make sure it was my drink after he handed it to me. He never acknowledged me, and his phone call seemed more important. Overall, they are slow to get orders ready, careless in the details of what is ordered and you have to check your order carefully to make sure itās correct- even if they tell you it is. The employees there will make you feel like your presence is an intrusion on their cellphone use and calls. They serve one size only, and quite frankly, if you go a few blocks down, you can get a larger selection of coffee, for the same price and different sizes. Convenience and atmosphere is about all The Ground Floor has because of its location. I hope this review helps the owner get his employees on track because we were all hopeful this would be a great thing to the area, and Starbucks will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI could never have enough positive words in my vocabulary to express how thankful I am for The Ground Floor! They have to be the most accommodating, accepting, and loving bunch I have witnessed in the food service/coffee shop environment. They legitimately got my business and all my clients through the holiday season happy, fed, and caffeinated. They stay so busy but I am so proud of the excellence they continue to consistently give this community even as theyāre growing and figuring out every new business venture. They donāt do thing if they canāt do it well. And from food, to drinks, to their merch, they always DO IT WELL! As a local business owner right above their shop, (yes, I have had pretty much everything on the menu) they probably get tired of seeing me in there 24/7 but I have always been treated with the utmost respect and kindness! I believe the relational business model The Ground Floor exhibits should be adopted everywhere and it is 100% why they will continue to be successful. When the leadership knows the importance of being a good steward, it shows in every aspect of the business.
LOVE LOVE LOVE THE...
